Right, just to prove this is genuine and I'm not winding you up, I've done a screenshot of my screen so you can see it for yourselves, this is legit.

Nobody doubted for a second, probably just a bit overcome But it's such good news isn't it? Nicky looked so happy last night, as we saw in the clips, and I can't wait to see what happens next!

Poor Eileen, she keeps trying to sign off with an 'x' and you keep questioning her!

LOL

Eileen seems genuinely grateful for the suggestions I raised in my emails (pretty much stuff that I had already mentioned on here).

The way I see it, Nicky needs strong guidance right now, and if I am able to help in even the smallest way, I hope that will lead to something fantastic in the long run.

Grado is my new hero. Not only does he enter the ring to the tune of Madonna's Like A Prayer but he got Michelle McManus to sing it at one bout. I think I'm in love.

You official Weegie classification would then be 'gallus'. Go Google

The Shaw thing management deal is quite interesting though. They don't seem to have many acts on their books, and hopefully they've been picked to act for Nicky because of that ie he wouldn't just be one of many and they would devote particular attention to him. The Cheryl Cole connection too - she's back on XF, so maybe what Nicky said about going back in November might come to pass if they share the same management. This might just be very, very good news indeed

I'm feeling happy and optimistic and maybes just a wee bit gallus!! .

Thanks Hitstastic for keeping the dialogue up with Eileen. Looks like she thinks its time to let her wee boy boy go.

I suppose it's what they've all been working towards, but it must be hard too. He's still so young - there's always something to wrings hands over

He seems to be well grounded though, and Eileen can consider she's done a good job and he's ready and prepared for what comes next. It was good to see him back on form last night, sort of rested and healthy and sparkling again. Maybe it's the Grado effect lol

The word rhymes with 'Alice'. A Gallus female can be referred to as a Gallus Alice. There is an Alice Cooper tribute band up here called Gallus Alice

He does seem to be incredibly grounded, and I do find it very impressive that he can be so grounded at such a young age. He seems to be so grateful for everything, which is lovely and sweet, but I do hope he develops a bit of a steely edge too that he can call on when needed (and I think this relates to me wanting him to realise just how ****ing good he is) - he'll need it in the music industry.

I'll need to learn all this Scottish slang I suppose, so that I can understand my future Scottish husbands Nicky & Grado (yes, I'll take both)

I know what you're saying, but I think it will be a sad day when he does (inevitably?) change?

Refers to anyone who could even contemplate using both 'it's yersel' AND 'bally-well'

I don't mean he needs to become an ass. I think it's perfectly possible to be lovely and grounded but still not take any bullshit should someone try to take you for a fool. At the moment he seems impossibly grateful to his family and mum (in particular) for their support, and it sometimes feels like he thinks he's just lucky. Of course he shouldn't *not* be grateful because they've spotted his talent from an early age and encouraged him to go for it when he possibly (probably) thought it was a pipe dream and they no doubt sacrificed a lot to allow him to flourish. BUT I just want him to come to believe how good he is - that he's got to where he is now because he's really f***ing talented as well as because of the support of his family.

Hey, I choose to ham up my plummy English heritage but I'm half-Scottish too you know. So if anyone can use both, it's me!

(except despite the half-Scottish thing, I can't do a Scottish accent to save my life, but I'm choosing to ignore that at the moment)
