Upload to YouTube temporarily stalled - I left it running overnight and it stuck at 57%. I've always had one son or another around to do this sort of stuff so never bothered to learn, but they've all moved to various housework free zones now. They're coming for tea tonight though, so we might try again.

I've just watched my clip of 1000 years and the sound is better than I hoped. The visuals are embarrassing though, all zoomy and shaky, and I'm so annoyed with it I could slap myself.

Might be better to leave it, and try harder at Hamilton Park races on May 16th which I'm planning on going to. Anybody any idea what happens at horse racing?

Nah, I really don't think Nicky will change for the worst. He's just not that type of lad unlike Justin Bieber who is the complete opposite and actually believes his own hype. The fact Nicky is so eternally grateful is the exact reason why I don't see Nicky going off the rails...ever!!! His relationship with his family and close friends is too strong for that to happen.

Besides, it's always fascinating when you do see singers who actually are brilliant, and they remain so grounded and humble in a "yeah, I like to sing" and they're just so modest. It's an endearing feature to have. Leona Lewis is the only winner of X Factor who was like this. I think every other X Factor winner to some extent believed their own hype. James Arthur is probably the worst offender of this right now despite, imo, being the best of a bad bunch of "singers" when we got down to the final 5 of X Factor 2012.

Mad to think people said the 2013 series was boring. There was more talent in Nicky's hair gel than the majority of the finalists in 2012 imo.

I think he knows he can sing - but he probably still thinks everybody else can too Experience will surely inform him that his voice is in a different league, and he'll learn to fight for music better than the horrible arrangements he was given on XF after week 6. I don't think I'll ever get over the Halo moment

We all love the respectful sweetness that's in him, and he'll learn who deserves respect, and who doesn't, in time. I have a feeling that everything will still be run past Mum, for a few years at least, and she hasn't done too badly by him so far

I've been a bit longwinded but I felt the need to explain my reasons. Just saying "yes, that would be great" is a pointless reply. This is what I would do if they intended on releasing a second single from the album. They need to give people a reason to buy the song hence why Answerphone bombed in at #73, because everyone knew they would get the same song on the album anyways.

Secretly I hope all future singles will be better than Answerphone, even if Nicky does release more cover versions in the future.

Love reading your thread and your hopes and expectations for Nicholas but I have to disagree with you on this comment. Joe has remained incredibly grounded and down to earth - despite many tribulations and highs and lows - and has said on several occasions that he all he wants to do is sing and entertain people with his singing and is at his happiest when he is on stage with people who want to listen to him.

Actually, Joe does come across as very lovely. I've never particularly been a fan but it's nice to see he's started being 'rehabilitated' into the XF alumni after having gotten the Leon Jackson treatment from the show for a while. He's probably a good example of someone who works really hard too. I have a lot of respect for him and how he's overcome some pretty shoddy treatment from Simco.

I went to one of the Sport Relief events a few weeks back and Olly was there. He also seems genuinely nice - out of all the celebs (and not so celebs) there he took out the most time to chat to people in the crowd, have pictures taken etc - far far much more time than he needed to.

Leona on the other hand... I have heard on quite a few occasions (from generally pretty reliable authorities) that she's not particularly pleasant.
