It's 80s themed, isn't it? I think The Power Of Love (the FGTH song, not the Jennifer Rush or Huey Lewis songs) would suit him really well and have a good emotive angle to it.
No doubt Louis will give him an Abba song though :/ |

Thinking ahead to the love and heartbreak theme I'm thinking Little Things by One Direction

Anyway, first live show tonight. I look forward to seeing how he fares. |

Yep very good, my personal favourite of the night, though obviously powerhouse Sam Bailey ticked all the showboating boxes.
One thing I worry about with him is the likelihood of Louis giving him twee song choices. I loved his bootcamp audition. It surprised me how impassioned it was. |

Loved, loved, loved Nicky's performance last night. He outsang everyone in my humble opinion. But then again I am a Scot, so I might be a teeny bit biased.

A Spandex Ballet song was an interesting choice, though at the backing vocals bits I thought I had gone back in time.
![]() What do you reckon he'll sing this week? We'll see who ends up being right.

i don't think it came down to him and paul in the selection of the Top 3... but it was just more dramatic to show them against each other fighting for that last place
Louis said at bootcamp that Nicholas was the one to beat at judges houses but it wasn't shown on tv! He made it blatantly obvious that Nicholas was his favourite as proved by his comments on Sunday night. |

Yep very good again. I find it extraordinary that he's so young but apart from Sam C is the most consistently in tune out of all of them.

He tweeted the lyrics to a Justin Beiber song yesterday which worried me a little (I had to google them!) - I'm always nervous about Louis' song choices when he's mentoring contestants I like. It didn't seem to be aligned with any movie though so hopefully it's a red herring.
Struggling to think what I would give him though! |

Just popping on to say what a great voice he has. Vocally the best of the three boys.
I think if they had had a young girl his own age run up and kiss him on the cheek, it might have worked. The older woman (who also looked taller than him) 'stalking' up to him just looked weird

Who's have thought Brian thingy leaving would have such a detrimental effect! |

I thought he did great, he showed that he can do more than just stand there and sing ballads!

Dont want him to fade away like other young singers on the show!
Lets watch what he does- Really want to hear his own music

I think he will, just hope he gets a good song choice. I'm praying it won't be My Way.

It's been done on the X Factor a million times, but I think he would be brilliant at doing 'Feeling Good'. Would make a nice change that song to go to someone who isn't one of the be-belter-divas too.

Please stop comparing him to Eoghan - he's a *much* better singer!

Sorry, just that people on here tend to use a comparison to Eoghan as an insult...

IMO Nicholas was the only one that didn't either shout or sing off key last night. He also stood out in the group song tonight.
Very consistent and so likeable! |
