Showbiz impresario Jonathan Shalit last night hailed Nicholas as a world-class star – and called winner Sam Bailey a “one-trick karaoke pony”.
Jonathan – who discovered Charlotte Church and manages N’Dubz, Tulisa, Kelly Brook, Myleene Klass and Lorraine Kelly – has already met Nicholas and his family.
He predicted: “Nicholas will sell millions of CDs. He is absolutely delightful.
“He has a maturity of voice beyond his years and a massive depth and range.
“He has sung everything from You Raise Me Up to She’s The One.
“He has massive colour to his voice and can emotionally connect with people.
“There is no limit to where he can go. He’s unique. He also has a wonderful innocence and that makes him very interesting.
“Sam is a great karaoke singer but Nicholas brings his own richness and character to a song.
“Sam doesn’t bring originality. She’s a one-trick pony whereas Nicholas is multidimensional and is the real deal.”
Jonathan scoffed at comparisons between Nicholas and former Scots X Factor winner Leon Jackson.
He added: “Leon won and six years later people are asking, ‘Who?’ With Nicholas, that won’t happen

I wanted to show you this all the Nicholas fans someone was very angry yesterday about what happened

Ha. I was just about to post this in here also. I thought it better in here rather than on the main boards as the less than flattering comments about Sam will just provoke Sam fans.

Here's the link: http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/enterta...donald-2933109

Hopefullly that means that he might take on Nicholas. He sounds as if he gets what makes Nicholas great much more than Louis ever did.

a lot of people were very unhappy on facebook last night the treatment of the kid was appalling I could not believe they can get away with it I watched the results thing again and Nicholas was smiling he knew he lost before the vote was given the whole show was scripted the voting stats told me a lot when he got better songs he did great in vote
usually the guy knows what he talking about a lot of people he was involved with or talked about usually did very well

Yeah I suspected he knew too, from before the start of the show even. He seemed deflated in his first performance, like he knew it was just going through the motions rather than actually being in with a shot. Must be awful feeling those around you are doing everything they can to hamper your chances.

there is so much waiting for you out there. Live on the edge, go for it! Love you, Mrs.O @TheXFactor #XFactorFinal

at least Sharon had time to tweet him unlike the other judges

Thanks for those links. This has given me hope that Nicky can soar without the manipulations of X factor.

Rumours seem to be that Luke and Tamera have been signed, but not Nicholas?

I thought they were all contracted to Syco until after the tour. It seems a bit quick to have been signed up.

God I hope not. I can't believe English people can't hear how beautiful his voice is just because he's Scottish!

THE UK’s top record labels were last night battling to sign X Factor runner-up Nicholas McDonald.

Nick, 17, from Motherwell, spent the day in lockdown at Simon Cowell’s SyCo HQ in London plotting his next move.

The cute crooner, who lost out to ex-prison officer Sam Bailey in the final at Wembley Arena on Sunday night, also spent eight hours in meetings with mentor Louis Walsh.

The Irish music mogul said he was “too busy” to take on Nick full-time.

But he vowed to take him under his wing and help land him a megabucks recording deal. An X Factor source said: “All the major record labels and bosses were in touch stating their interest within 24 hours of the show finishing.

“All the big names in management think he’s a star.”

Last night Nick took to Twitter to tell fans his debut record might ALREADY be in the pipeline.

He tweeted: “I want to promise I will never give up on you guys and hopefully I’ll have an album out soon.”
