He just went there when he left school with higher physics and maths, because it was called an engineering job then, and was there pretty much his whole working life. He also did some stuff for Sky and absolutely loved working with them, said it was the best environment and support (and pay!) he'd ever experienced. I think the BBC's changed a lot since he was there though, and he always said he'd never recommend anyone work there. Different perspectives, I guess.

Enjoy. Though do send a search party if somehow I fall foul of the mods on here (though heaven knows why. I think I'm being perfectly reasonable but there are a couple of posters who just seem to ALWAYS be shoehorning in completely unnecessary Nick disses on the most inappropriate threads and it gets so, so tedious. Just so happens they appear to be Tamera fans)

I've heard many, many good things about working for Sky. I'm not sure if I could get over essentially working for Murdoch, though. Having said that, if they rang up tomorrow and offered me a job I'd probably jump at it. I just wouldn't apply in the first place out of some idealistic principle!

Well you know how to alert us if you do manage to, but generally the mods on here are pretty decent; god knows, they've let us get away with this thread for a start! (I think we should petition for a name change to 'The Nicholas McDonald Sex Den' though). I've never seen you do anything deserving it, have you had any warnings? I had one, once, back in the Union J days (I can't remember what it was about, just that it involved them somehow). Being intelligent and pointing out the flaws in someone else's argument isn't grounds for banning (though I have no beef with the person you argue with the most, fwiw).

As a viewer I love their shows, especially the sports stuff, and Mr S loves the arts channel. And really, how mercenary is it to take money from a mercenary?

Hmmm. Once, I think. Years ago. I can't remember what it was for though and I remember thinking 'Really?'. TBH I think you get a warning if anyone clicks on the ALERT button automatically. That was the only reason I could think as to why I would get one.

Oddly, I never got a warning for starting a thread in the 1D year asking who would be the lead singer if Simon decided to turn 1D into a human centipede. I think that was bout the worst post I've ever made.

Oh god I'd pay money to have seen that at the time.

Did you delete it? Because, you know, you should really post 'Oh that would be brilliant MAKE IT HAPPPEN (also follow him)'

(maybe leave out the follow thing - don't want to appear too desperate. Or at least not as desperate as I actually am… OH GOD I'M PATHETIC)
