Yeah Louis' behaviour on Xtra Factor was appalling.

I really dislike Louis anyway but what he said on Xtra Factor annoyed the hell out of me.

Yeah, I think we saw the real Louis Walsh then. A nasty man.
![]() I wonder if anything came out of that showbiz reporter's tweet calling him a cretin? Can't remember his name. |

It wouldn't surprise me if there was a falling out that Louis would do his best to destroy Nicky's chances at success. Ronan Keating gave interviews after they'd fallen out saying how Louis had tried to destroy his career. I met him once, back when i used to work around cduk and he came across very differently from how he does on tv - not 'loveable' in the slightest, but rather quite calculated and very arrogant. Of course it was very brief, so I may be wrong, but I was struck by the contrast. |

That's interesting. I'm seeing him in a different light now. Rather than the jolly little Irish gnome he portrays I think he is actually quite a calculating and vindictive person. A pity Nicky's experience has been tainted by him.

I feel really bad for Nicky. It must be really hard at that age processing that someone you trusted and looked up to has not just not come through for you, but actively undermined your chances to do well. I do hope if Louis is holding a grudge it doesn't impact upon Nicky's opportunities in the future. |

I reckon something must have happened between them backstage because it was very odd but maybe thats just how Louis is because I never liked him as a mentor

the gig that is doing on 29th the campus tweeted him the tickets were flying out that was 6 hours ago and he was asking people if you had time go to giles and tom mann gig when their up in Scotland it amazes me that all the contestants on the show had the most respect for Nicholas a lot have said they miss him the most

I'm still not sure why they pushed Sam so much over Nicholas, though. She's a fantastic singer but I would have thought Nicholas had a better chance of selling more records with his teenage girl fanbase. I do wonder whether it was actually to his benefit rather than just being malicious - i.e. he's still so young and this way he doesn't have the added pressure of X Factor winner hanging over him. I hope it wasn't because they just don't want to sign him, it'd be such a waste if he doesn't get a record out.

I hope these rumours re Jonathan Shalit are true. Does anyone know if he is in the same 'stable' as Walsh? |

Yes. I was actually relieved that he didn't win. He'll get in much better without the pressure of living up to the expectations that entails.

I don't think so. He's mates with Cowell I believe, but who isn't? I wonder how seriously Louis is taken within the industry. An awful lot of acts seem to have ditched him as their manager, ultimately. Remember how much he hated Girls Aloud for ages because they sacked him?

Also, I am relieved he didn't win to an extent. If he get's signed I'll be very happy about it. However, if he doesn't get signed I'll wish he'd won!

Their was a problem with ronan keatings a few times they fell out and made up but then they fell out again and their a lot that happened with a lot others. but I never seen him make smart remarks about a kid before a talented one but it wasn't to do with nicholas louie was completely in wrong but he wont admit it

or their something else going on Nicholas seemed very happy to finish second too happy he didn't seem disappointed the guy rumoured to be interested in him can be abrupt if he doesn't rate you I find it strange that this guy came out in public that nicholas could be big I think if x factor worked on nicholas weaknesses they could have broken the curse of male winners you cant teach what nicholas can do with his voice near the end of superman he sings a note differently I don't know what its call is a falsetto or something I never heard sam bailey doing it
I agree he looked happy to finish second, though I wonder if that was just relief. The pressure was obviously getting to him, whatever was going on behind the scenes. He looked relieved for it all to be over. Hopefully that's because he knew there was good things coming in the future that weren't dependent upon winning. I think the 'curse of the male winner' is much overstated on here and in the media in general - It's only really Steve Brookstein and Leon who have disappeared from view - Joe's doing fine for himself, Matt's doing ok with a lot more control (and probably more money from his sales, even if less). Still, it's definitely a mystery as to why they turned on him so much. Even the Xtra Factor seemed to be trying to dampen him, Caroline dropping references to Leon etc… the tweets they read out always seemed to be completely random as well, whereas Luke would get ones saying 'OMG I LOVE HIM' etc. It was really nasty IMO. There was an interesting moment on Xtra Factor after the Beyonce vs Elton week (Semi-final?) when Caroline asked Nicole a question which seemed to be designed to bring out criticism of Nicholas for that cracked note, but Nicole looked sheepish and didn't play ball, and said something like 'No I'm not going to criticise that because I saw something different from him this evening' - I wondered whether she was resisting the producers instructions to undermine him, as she clearly really liked him early on, then her compliments just seemed to get more vague and abstract. Of course, I could be reading far too much into this, but there did seem to be an abrupt change in attitude to him after week 6, we all noticed it. I suppose it could just be a case of 'musical differences' - Louis might have been pissed off that Nicholas was complaining about his song choices on the xtra factor - he strikes me as a control freak so that would make sense, and that he would be all prissy about it rather than working with Nicholas to reach some understanding or compromise. I hope some information comes to light somewhere down the line, not in a way that makes Nicholas look bad or ungrateful, but just for the benefit of understanding what happened. |

I know one reason I didn't want nicholas to win look at the negativity sam bailey is getting now after those sales even though it wasn't her faulth the winner song was lazy how old is the song basically 2 years old I just hear a lot of people saying they wont buy it as they prefer demi original version
I think nicholas could have sold more as he is 17 years old and has the girl, teenage and kid market and he is getting more popular per day it seems |
