Poor Jean, really sad scenes with her and Ollie, they deserve to be happy, Kat was selfish but you can see she is afraid of being lonely, she will soon be the only Slater left
, that's gotta change, bring Mo back full time or bring back one the sisters.Loved her and Roxy's exchanges..Essex, Walford ![]() Jean's mention of Stacey was nice. GO ABI!, Loved her tonight, keeps his brains in his pants being a big highlight Abi and Lauren work great together as sisters and come across very well on screen.Janine and the headphones was amusing,Michael as always entertaining. Lola has a bit of a cheek having a go at Ronnie considering her history but at least it has been put to bed for now, I hope these two can strike up a good relationship going forwards. Phil on his own in the hospital, with the way he has treated people over the years he don't deserve much more but was still quite a sad sight. |

The episode itself was good; it's just the nature of many people in it, was frustrating and annoying.
Kat is obviously being selfish regarding Jean; and it's implied to us Kat's rationale for not wanting Jean and Ollie together is much more than simply being 'protective' - see Jean's earlier remark on Kat and her being alone forever, and looking into the future by about 10 years. In that time Kat and Alfie would have probably broken up and gotten back together again at this rate. For once, TPTB have bothered letting Roxy look like the beacon of common sense, in contrast to Kat which is a surprise. Ollie's scene speaking to Jean as the door separated them was quite sweet, my scene of the night. I don't get where MM gets this idea Tommy is his child. In the practical sense, Tommy isn't; the person who actually interacts and takes care of Tommy, is Alfie, not MM. I suspect MM knows this though. It's obvious why he doesn't like Ronnie, so I won't ramble on about that. Abi and Lauren's scenes felt somewhat comical. Abi trying to rationalize Lauren trying to kill Max was unbelievable. But it was way too obvious that TPTB were trying to portray Abi as some clueless soul, who looks at the cover of the book in contrast to the suddenly more 'maturet' Lauren who all of sudden has become more enlightened (or at least more questioning). It's amazing what a month of rehab can do for you, eh. And of course, Lexi had to start bawling with Ronnie inside Phil's place, and Ronnie then getting caught with Lexi as an angry Lola and Billy came in. I didn't get the point of that sequence at all. I enjoy MM's scenes, as I usually do and small bit of Janine we saw. Still, the pacing of the episode was pretty good although it was something of a fillerish episode, it was still engaging. |

The dialogue is great tonight. It's a shame they have this painfully contrived story about Lola missing the call. Because she forgot her mobile/because Gaynor had earphones in/because Billy dropped his phone.

Don't know if she does, it's typical of how incestuous EE has got that all three women are related to each other, Roxy was Kats cousins wife and Jeans daughter in law, Jean is Kats Aunt and Roxys former mother in law. Mad.

Jean and Kat aren't blood rellations as Jean married into the family. Brian was either Charlie's brother or cousin, I forget which and he married Jean so Brian, Sean and Stacey are blood related to Kat but Jean isn't. I think that is what the poster meant about rRoxy being married to Kat's cousin as Sean is either her first or second cousin.

I will look forward to catching up tomorrow...
EastEnders wasn't shown on BBCOne Wales today....Just looked at the listings and the next episode is tomorrow as aired on BBCone. Does that mean the people of wales miss an episode out or is it shown on another channel?

The thing is though that Kat does still have family, Mo, Charlie, Lynne. Little Mo, Zoe and some of the are,kt that far away. Aren't Charlie and Lynne both still in London? Most people don't need their family in the same road to remain close and she could always move to be nearer them. Plus, she'd still have a husband if she hadn't been such an ungrateful, selfish mess and she has got a beautiful little boy so she is not alone.
There was definately some care and concern in her talking to Ollie both a couple of weeks ago and tonight but is was mostly self interest. Still, I think she realised she'd done the wrong thing at the end. Also, I'd fine it easier to take if she'd (or any of the Slaters) had shown any interest in Jean from 2000 to 2005, even after Stacey came to stay with them and they knew jean was widowed, alone and ill again. But of course that was before the character had been invented. |

Kat why, she had her arse halfway out the bloody door and you stopped it. The chance to be free of the screeching and you had to stick your pugged up snout in.

Janine and the show seem to forget that Ronnie lost her own sprog or that Janine killed her other kid.
Yes Ronnie lost her own baby but unfortunately for her that memory has been trumped in other people's minds by her stealing someone else's baby. THAT'S all a lot of people will remember now, the pain and grief she inflicted on another couple not the pain and grief she's been through herself. Quote:

![]() Of course Lauren has to be the one who doesn't believe Max would do it as she is another one who's being rehabilitated (on a smaller scale than Kat of course!). From when these girls first appeared they've each had an 180 degree turn on their opinion of their dad! The daddy's girl now has zero faith in him. Surely Max would be entitled to legal aid? He can't have that much disposable income FGS. He doesn't even own a property! Quote:
Really glad Jean is getting a,happy ending
