You are right a lot of people enjoy listening to Vanessa on Radio 2 including myself.

But aren't the marks carried forward to the next week? So that everyone gets marked on both their BB & Latin?

Good point.

Yes, the week 2 leaderboard is calculated from week 1 score + week 2 score.

I keep getting a feeling that Sophie, Rachel and Ben might not be as good as some predict.
Unless there is shallow voting going on.

Its hard to see beyond Deborah, Fiona, Vanessa and Tony though.
Possibly Dave, if he wasn't so likeable.

On Strictly?
Surely not!

This always confuses me.

2 digit numbers + 2 digit numbers can be confusing if you're not arithmetically minded.

I recommend using a number line until you're used to it. Don't go trying that complicated column addition yet.

This is my bet too, though it wouldn't surprise me if Tony went first. I think people might not warm to Deborah (for some reason). And I don't think Tony, as nice as he seems, will evoke much reaction in people. That's why I think Vanessa has a better chance of staying in over Deborah, Tony and maybe even Fiona as I think she'll evoke more reaction from viewers (either of love and hate) than them, and therefore remain enough on the forefront of peoples minds' in which to garner votes to not at least be the first out. Could be wrong, but I see the paring of James and Vanessa as a more intriguing than those of Deborah, Tony and their pros.

Reasons I can see people voting for Vanessa:
1) Bit of shadenfreude at James Jordan's expense.
2) They'll actually find her inevitable verbal duelling with Craig entertaining.
3) Whatever pleasure Strictly viewers seem to derive year after year from voting for really bad dancers.

Since it's a "vote to stay" not "vote to leave", I think indifference is more toxic than dislike on Strictly so I imagine Tony will be first to go. He'll definitely be near the bottom of the leader board, if not bottom and I doubt many people will be aware of him. At least Deborah is on a TV show that is still on air so people know who she is and, despite the whole "dragon" thing being flogged to death already, she comes across well as a nice and intelligent woman who wants to enjoy the experience.

I think I will leave it alone, maths was never my strong point

Rachel will be very sorry to hear that, Terry.

Thats a point Rachel likes people that like numbers and Vanessa has got brains too.

I'll quite happily 'shallow vote' for Ben.

I'd say everyone will be trailing Natalie, who already looks like she could be the new DVO, unless she has an endearing personality.

I suspect the producers may push James and Vanessa as the new comedy couple and reckon Jacklin'll be the first for the chop. He looked dreadful in the group dance and really has a lot of work to do, especially in the latin, I'm guessing ...

Well, she has a less abrasive partner than DVO did, which will help, and if she can just manage to avoid any mention of sitting on chairs whilst performing (a heinous crime apparently,) she'll be fine.

And from the tweets he and Aliona are spending more time playing golf and off... than actual training.

My guess is that Tony Jacklin will be first out unless Aliona has a strong fan following herself, but even fans will see her obvious pain (a la Flav with Craig Kelly) and not vote so she can make a graceful exit.

Vanessa will be appallingly bad unless she has had a Eureka moment by then but will be enough in the headlines for the judges to be mean but people will vote to keep her for a bit.

I suspect the first four exits will be Jacklin, Benton, Feltz and Dave (don't know his other name)... but not necessarily in that order.

Sitting on chairs notwithstanding, Natatlie WILL be seen as having an unfair advantage. She can't even play the showmance card to soften people's views of her, poor girl, she's with Artem, who's happily attached.

I think the first to go will be Tony Jacklin. Any dance off will probably be between him and Vanessa or Mark. Dave and Karen will last for a few shows as they are going to be good fun together and he is trying to dance.

The word FUN is a very loaded word in this forum now, sadly...

I love Dave and Karen after watching their training clip btw...

If Tony ever makes it off the golf course to actually dance, of course.

I think more Tony or Dave, whoever is the worst though and ends up at the bottom normally gets the sympathy vote as its noticed so much, so someone two or three from the bottom of the first leader board will go first.

I'm not so sure she's a hated person generally. She has some strong views and comes across a bit "bossy" at times, but then so do I, and probably everyone else reading this. We all have good and bad points. And one thing that TV proves time and again is that the viewing public are very forgiving of past transgressions. There are countless TV come-backs, often through doing a reality show such as this.

I'm hoping that she will give as good as she gets from Craig. That will afford her a stay of execution for a few weeks, whilst the less memorable ones are voted out, then it will be her turn once people start voting based on skill (or attractiveness, sadly).

But isn't that suspecting that the (potentially) worst dancers will be voted off first and when has that ever happened on Strictly?

Usually at least 3 of the (potentially) decent dancers get their marching orders before the "less talented" ones get theirs
