If you are trying to pair to another BT device then you should be able to set the code when prompted or in the settings menu. I wouldn't think there would be a default code, but you could try 0000, 1111, 1234 etc. When I pair devices I get prompted for a code which I normally create at the time such as 9872 or some other random number and then I tell the item I pairing with the code. This has been the same on all my BT phones, so I am not sure why the 6810 would be different. |

All this of course depends on what your particular phone supports and that's in your manual. My A1000 does a lot more via BT than my old 7600 did and my old NEC did jack sh*t via BT (even though it had BT), but that was a crap phone. |

If you have a symbian phone (not sure if yours is as I haven't look yours up) then there are lots to chose from, if not then I am sure you could find something with a bit of google magic. I think what you are referring to as 'toothing' I know as blue jacking. It's basically where you send someone a short text message or business contact card etc. via Bluetooth. It was funny at first, but everyone knows about it now, so it's not so much a suprise any more. You only need to be somewhere crowded, not just an underground. You can also send photos etc. which can be amusing if done right I have a couple of bits of software on my A1000 (Symbian UIQ) that allows me to chat with people over BT. I don't really use them, just put them on as I was interested in seeing it work, but it did work quit well when tested. |
