TerryM22 yes she was. Sorry to be picky but it's Darcey. Always has been. Perhaps it's just my job but unless it's a typo (which we all make) I can't see any reason not to spell someone's name properly.
The DWTS band is pretty good. As for the judges, I can't see Bruno managing ballroom or Latin, think Craig probably could, and Len, despite being a lot older than either of them, can still dance a lot of others off the floor.

True, but only as long as the tempo isn't too fast.
This year we had the judges on the dance floor more than once in the group routines.... Craig danced with Bruno and Lem with Kate Thornton - it was pretty good actually!

You jest in hold ballroom has technical difficulties that Craig never mentions other than bronze medal footwork errors
My comment was made due to the suggestion that Craig is some sort of dance guru which maybe true in other areas of dance but not in ballroom which does carry long term trained technique knowledge and performance ability which I am certain from his judgments Craig does not posses
Dancing in hold and producing first class ballroom is a high skill based on natural talent and untold hours/weeks/months of practice. listen to Craig comment it simply does not contain any knowledge of those ingredients

No-one like Ristomatti so far, but I'll keep you posted.
A key difference between the pros and the judges is that the judges have gone up in the world and no longer need to work their asses off doing sameish routines each week to earn a crust. Like any physical activity that is dependent on fine-tuned motor skills constant practice is the key to (near) perfection. It's easy to dance a few steps as the judges often do but to put together a full routine is another ball game entirely - credit to Darcey for her American smooth last year. Of course, it was excellent PR to counter those who complained that she was too much ballet and not enough ballroom
