Not sure if this scene is overly long or just pointless. The bicycle scene in Butch and Sundance.

Back in University I was outvoted and made to go and see Bad Boys 2 (when will people learn? Democracy doesn't work.)

The whole film was terrible obviously but the big "climactic" chase at the end seemed to last longer than my entire childhood.

Django Unchained could have done with losing around 30 minutes. Plus, QT's cameo("G'day mate. Strewth - gone walkabout, etc.).
Absolutely agree.

So I think so far we've established Tarantino & Leone are self-indulgent .

I really like the alley fight scene in They Live, as it's so different to most movie fights.

The Monica Belluci/Gaspar Noe film Irreversible has a few scenes where you just want to go 'enough already, please'.

I also find the 2001 Blue Danube sequence a bit draggy, superb technically though it is...

Solaris has scenes which seem to go on and on forever.

I felt like my eyes were going to start bleeding. Which would have been a relief as then I would have had something with which to drown myself.

I imagine you're referring to the original. I didn't have a problem with the rest of the film or the length of the scenes, some were quite important to the story and mood, but the "driving" scene did outlast its welcome. Still a good and intriguing film that's worth watching, despite that anomaly.

In the film Inglorious B's there is a scene in a café seated at a table with a gun which one knows is to end in a fight, and the scene goes on and on relentlessly to the point of great tedium.

Some people say they like the scene and that it is tense but for me it just doesn't work. For one thing the conversation is boring.
That's an awesome scene. Some people in this thread really don't understand the point of tension in a scene.

There is no tension in that scene, just an overwhelming sense that QT couldn't decide if he was making a comedy or not....

The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King

It's the eagles, this must be the end?
No, they're in the bedroom, this must be the end?
No, there's a coronation now, this must be the end?
No wait, now they're off to the grey havens. This is the end?
No, Sam has to come home first, is this it?
It is?
Thank fk for that!
Lol this totally. I still love it though
