Apparently! According to Inverclyde Now, the initial 50 hours commission for the Scottish production has been extended to 70, with Series 9 extended by 10 hours to 30 and a further 10 hours to make up the first batch of episodes for the tenth series too.

Series 9B is currently being filmed, Series 9C is due to begin production shortly, followed by Series 10A soon after.

agree with this , having 30 episodes last series meant there was at least a few bad episodes in there.
