going to give it another shot tonight, TBH I thought it first aired on Wednesday, back to back with another Dave orginal Crackanory, also Wednesday is a quiet night for me, so both those shows fill the time.

I thought last nights started a bit flat but definitely picked up in the second half.
I wonder if he will show a conclusion to the metro thing. The audience and viewers of his show know what happened but will he tell the metro and twitter etc.? |

It seems to be March that his mock reply appeared in the Metro so not sure what conclusion he could really show

In the part when Dave says he was playing paper scissors stone with Alex Reid (when doing the fist pump thing), Dave says he wins, but how is this possible?
Dave = stone (I assume), Alex was holding his hand out (flat) for Dave to shake, so that means paper, and paper beats stone right?

The Metro gets another plug for one of its little columns - is Dave working for them??
I can't believe people write such ridiculous petitions to the government (well actually I can). Mind you, with Dave pulling tricks lately I thought he was going to admit that he had made them all up himself. |

A little disappointing his petition was rejected. It would have made a much better closing to go into how he took to twitter etc. to chase up people to sign it and the final reveal of how many signs he got, which would have shown up those who have only one as just not trying too hard.

I have not read the whole thread, but am I the only one who does not believe that this guy is a comedy god? Every time he is interviewed on the TV or radio, he is treated with reverence and feted as some kind of comedy messiah.
I must be getting old. |

Other way around. Dave held out his hand flat to shake Alex's hand, so Dave = paper. Alex Reid held out a fist for a fist bump, so Alex = stone. Paper covers stone, Dave wins the game (in his head).

I must be getting old. I do enjoy his current show but too much of it staged. He gives the impression that he's this normal guy just laughing at the absurdity of modern life; when in reality he is painstakingly creating a lot of that absurdity. |

I must be getting old. I would suggest therefore that age is not the crucial factor...must be that pesky "different tastes in comedy" thing again. |

Dave Gorman is someone who will always try and do something a little different, throw himself into it wholeheartedly and see where it takes him. It may work, it may not but he does not take the "easy" route of standing around telling jokes at 100mph in the hope some of them will work. And I'd rather he was on the telly than Frankie Boyle, the poor mans Jim Davison who is as funny as syphillis and just as offensive.
Dave Gorman and Tony Hawks are great at this kind of 'journey' comedy/exploration/drama and I wish they both did more. 'Playing Moldavians at Tennis' is one of the best books I've ever read (Hawks) and 'Googlewack Adventure' (Gorman - TV/Book) was a great insight into how obsessive they can become once he gets an idea in his head. |

I was a little disappointed with last night's show.
Definitely the worst of the series so far. |

He reminds me of the try hard teacher at school who displays learnings through the art of soft bland sarky humour who then puts on a dodgy science video during the lesson when all you can think about is the bell to go at either lunch/home time. Having said that there's been a few funny moments in this, ultimately though not my thing.
