A good start to the series. It peaked early on with the highlighting of the man allegedly pissing in a bush in a Homes Under The Hammer clip!

Fantastic show. Its not often me and the missus sit together and both laugh out loud at the same thing but we love this!
Loved the Edward Lear stuff, I never liked his limericks. Didnt Ronnie Barker re-write them a few years back? |

I dunno....piss-taking Homes Under the Hammer and Daily Mail headlines is hardly top-drawer funny-stuff.
It doesn't have the structured quality of some of his other shows like the Alan Sugar one from the last series. Having said that the repeat that's on now with the fivers, tenners and twenties through the post is no great shakes either. He skates by on affability and charm when the content is weak like this but he can do so much better. |

A great show
Loved the Edward Lear stuff - Humphrey Lyttelton of I'm Sorry I Havent a Clue pointed that out too in one of their books - its unlikely he invented the limerick for his 'Book of Nonsense' (1846), and I agree with him and Dave that he wasnt even very good at it - running out of scheme (and rhyme) by line five

Brilliant show. That celebrity clip site was random as hell, but I loved that John Challis actually did his as Boycie.

![]() He got a member of public to walk into a room and say a line of dialogue with a key word and then the associated music number started

A pretty good opener. I think Escape To The Country is far more worthy of criticism than Homes Under The Hammer though - generally just a bunch of serial wannabes wanting to be the centre of attention on national television for 45 minutes with no intention of buying a property.
Anyway gotta go. there's a rather interesting ceiling I need to stare at. |

I reckon that Dave should be spending more time writing new material and less time watching daytime TV if the first episode is anything to go by.

Shame he has'nt dumped the (self indulgent?) found poem. Its always been the weakest part of the show. The rest, however, is brilliant.

Are you kidding me, I find them the funniest part of the show. I'm sure he gets some of his material from these very forums, in fact!

I enjoyed last night's discussion on bar queuing.
Another exception to the rule though is Social / Working Mens clubs. They seem to have good systems in place. You either queue from one side of the bar or there's a few that have a central entrance with barriers where you then go left or right depending which is free. Maybe the fact that you're more likely to be known by the bar staff and other patrons means that you act accordingly though. Also I remember Dara's School of Hard Sums covered pushing into a queue. I think 3 was the limit before people started complaining. |

I have worked as barman in a working mans club and didn't find it too hard to keep track of who to serve next or even to remember what their order was likely to be even if it was a whole round of drinks and what it was likely to change to as the evening wore on. Always got a break between 9 and 9:30 as we were not allowed to serve while the bingo was on!

I like the show and I like Gorman but the material is a little weak in this third series.
I'm getting a bit bored with the corpsing/giggling he does halfway through his Found Poem segment too. It's so forced, you can tell he's not properly laughing, just forcing it. And i'm really tired of how many times he has to tell us he is Dave Gorman. I like him as i say but in every show he's ever done he does seem to love to say his own name so much. I mean the self-indulgent Are You Dave Gorman> from a few years ago was great but just gave him an excuse to have his very name a topic in itself. Is there any other tv presenter (or even DJ) who constantkly tells us "My name's ,,,," over and over like Dave Gorman does, After every break: We KNOW what bloody show we are watching Dave and we know who you are FFS. |

I thought Episode 2 was sadly a bit weak TBH (too much time spent on queueing) - and yes the corpsing he does halfway through the found poems is getting old.
I do like the show and Dave Gorman though. |

It's been boring tonight and all over the place. From elks to misspelt Tweets to mildly amusing Wikipedia articles.
The series has been already been renewed for S4 and S5. The source is Dave Gorman's blog. |

Just rename the show "Reading shit off the internet", ie Material other people have written, and have done with it Dave (both of you!)

Rather dull and the found poem wasn't any good, which is probably because it wasn't Daily Mail readers.

Episode 3 had some good moments, but I thought the misspelt tweets and catchphrase game went on too long.
