Loughborough is currently holding a festival called the Luga Boruga festival.
Love Dave Gorman but this weeks show was painful. Bloody jigsaws. Come on Dave, pull your finger out. This weeks episode was very lazy.

I thought it was great. Even though you can guess where some of it is going, there's always enough random tangents along the way.
It was a tad contrived, in so much as Tom Jones' head just happened to be in exactly the same place, and was the same size, as Alan Sugar's which suggests that the TJ jigsaw we saw, wasn't the original one he ordered as he said he didn't consider the number of jigsaw-cutting machines the manufacturer might have until after it arrived, so clearly he ordered a second one with the specific dimensions and positions....... but who cares, I'll let him have that!
I thought the first part of the show was quite boring.
I thought the found poem was probably the worst he's ever done.
It really picked up at the end though and was very funny, especially the reveal.

That's true. The Found Poems don't seem to work as well on the telly as they did on the radio.

To be honest it felt very contrived. Out of all the millions of viral tweets and retweets did his Jigsaw advert "really" make it into the online news by some miracle. And out of all the thousands of small news items did Have I Got News For You "really" just feature it by chance.

I love this programme but that was the worst episode so far. The Found Poem was incredibly dull and a bit on the short side, too.

I've seen him on tour and thought it was great

That's a good coincidence because that clip has been on my mind for about two weeks now for some reason, as I remembered it being hilarious at the time, but couldn't find a clip of it anywhere online.
Do you happen to know if a youtube clip of it exists?
If somebody has recorded that episode can somebody who has the means to do so get the Powerball reveal clip uploaded onto youtube please?

This show has generally come out of his last show (seen him a good couple of years ago in Belfast as I missed the Edinburgh show (and got an oversea "girlfriend" out of it - yeah don't ask) and the "found Poem" bit came from there.
Take water with you for the live show - you will crease yourself. Not sure what it is like at the bigger venues but the smaller ones he sits out front does a signing/selling thing for books and dvds and you can have a quick chat if not too busy!!! If you are in the frontish row make sure your phones off (unless that was a skit part?)

Oh mean't to say he has a reputation for doing a live show that will never be recorded or shown on TV (how weird is that today!). So unless it is a genius idea that he can spin out - it will just be a genius live show that will be in the theatre only. Some of the twitter stuff (completely different though) also had the genesis in that theatre show from 2-3 years back. Hope that is useful and puts your mind at ease.
God, this weeks episode was shit. Half the program devoted to the calendar which was mind numbingly doring, followed by the car rubbish and then the twitter snoozefest.

I want that calendar! I know it was only intended as a joke, but I want it and now it will always bug me that we will never have it. At the very least we should have the proper names for July and August reinstated.
The calendar part started well I thought (but overall it went over my head).

The people who always have their birthday on a Saturday would love the new calendar but the people who always have it in the week would hate it.
His spare day at the end of the year would be a nightmare for computer systems. It would probably finish up having to be put in as the 29th day of the 13th month, in the same way that technically on a clock 24:00 should follow 23:59, but then 00:01 should follow 24:00 but that's too complicated so we have 00:00 instead.

Unusual.
What annoys me is comedians who've had a rare TV appearance and then do comedy nights where they repeat what they've already done on TV shows. I saw Jamali Maddix as part of a comedy night where he had 20 minutes and it was just an extended version of what he did when he appeared on the John Bishop Show. He probably did exactly the same performance for the John Bishop show before it was edited by the producers. Very disappointing.
