Sooner be odd than you, Messaroundabit.
Eh? Is this just random personal abuse of someone you don't know, or have I missed something?

Sorry I may have mixed up the comments, apologies if so. But whoever calls Dave odd is way off the mark. Even if he is a Liverpool fan.

Reasonable show today, but two things:

1. Dave still can't do endings. He gets himself all worked up & tells us how many hours he works on each show and yet the endings almost always disappoint. The pine cones tonight was poor.

2. On Twitter today, Dave got into one of his regular tiffs with a few people because they took issue with his claim that there had now been 24 hours worth of the show. They pointed out that he should deduct ads. Instead of thinking, 'It doesn't really matter', he carried on the debate with several people for ages. Thereby again confirming he really is quite an odd, obsessive sort of character.
That is kind of the point of the whole show.

Travelling around to meet people called "Dave Gorman"

Did you not see the Googlewhack adventure show, where he spent the advance for a novel he was supposed to write on travelling round the World to meet people who were the single result of a two word Google search ??

Dave Gorman odd? He's about as regular a guy as they come!

His attitude to life as he articulates it resonates perfectly to my own way of thinking.

Really didnt like the second episode. Second half just felt like weird hatred towards one guy whos just trying to make a little bit of money on the internet. its no different (just cheaper) than getting celebs to do adverts for companies.

I think Dave was just perplexed as to why he was whoring himself out for just $5 a time. Must admit so am I, having often been plagued by those Britmethod ads.

The difference is he is fraudulently pretending to give a testimonial as a pukka customer. He is scum.

I wonder if Davina Mccall really does use that hair dye she's always praising

I recognised those ads as soon as I heard the voice, I was plagued with them too once

You what? It didn't come across as hatred, just bemusement.

I enjoy this show.. Yes, it's sometimes a bit hit and miss but it passes an hour or so just nicely.

Quite funny that Dave's 'hero' Martin Roberts appears to have the same characteristic as Dave himself - rather more prickly in real life than you might imagine. 😀

Dave seems to take tweets a bit too serious imo.

It's actually very funny. He generally behaves as if someone is making a serious point and, if he disagrees, he will carry on arguing for ages. Rather than thinking about it and realising that the individual was just trying to wind him up.

It's especially funny since a high proportion of his comedy is winding other people up. Now, if I put that on Twitter, Dave would dispute the proportion of his comedy that is about winding people up! And keep arguing that it is only 27% of his comedy and therefore not a high that proportion. 😂

I quite enjoyed the latest episode, but thought the number plate thing went on slightly too long

I think Dave's tweets can be funny as well (I got a response from him a couple of times)

Another weak ending for this night's show.

Dave really can't do endings.

I liked last nights bit about unneccesary notices. I wish I'd been able to send him one I saw recently that said, - "Do Not Read This Notice". I wonder what they do to you if you do?

Does life ever have proper endings?

Even when it's goodish?

I was in a lift a while back that had instructions for what to do if the lift stopped, as normal.
What it also had on the instructions was the statement "Do not worry, there is enough breathable air in the lift"

I wasn't worried about that at all, it had never occurred to me that it might be an issue. Now i'm worried...

All lives have one proper ending.
So when does the proper end come? At the point of death? At the point of the funeral taking place? At the point of cremation/burial? At the point the constituent parts separate and become part of the earth and atmosphere? At the point those former constituent parts become part of another living entity, be that plant, animal or insect?

When does one life have a proper ending?

Oh great, now I'm worried about air in lifts. Thanks.

The problem with having a series each year is that he runs out of material. The first two series were good, whereas now is more miss than hit.

We need more trolling of the Metro, fabric softener jesus, even the jigsaw bit from last series was good.

However much material he has, his endings are often 💩.

You can hear his tone of voice shift as he 'builds up' to what he thinks is going to be a brilliant denouement, leaving people rolling in the aisles, but his delivery is poor (he often repeats the punchline, rarely a good idea) and you can tell he is nervous because he lacks real conviction in the delivery.

His really good stuff is usually disposed off somewhere at mid-point.

Really odd how he seems to have such a poor feel for a good denouement given how long he has been doing this stuff.
