I have always luved Kat, she is one of the best characters ever, EE/Soap leg-end, imo.

I said ages ago Newman was doing wonders with Kat but was shot down in flames.

She is a different character to the one she was 15 months ago and its all for the better.

Also its not that Kat and Alfie don't work as a couple because they do. The problem with them was too much heartbreak and too much cheating. If they just focused on them being a couple rather than the repetitive doom and gloom storylines they would be ok.

I never thought the problem with the characterisation of kat was the Kalfie relationship, but instead the TERRIBLE way she was written when they came back, The fact that she hit Alfie & it was played for laughs was a nadir for me.

I think the producers need to have a serious look at what theyre going to do with kat once she & Alfie re-unite. We cant kep having this "cheating every 5 mins" thing, its gotten very tiresome.

I wouldn't mind if they got Kat and Alfie together again but still had them having their separate story lines. NOT cheating on each other either.

If DTC continues what Newman has started, Kat and Alfie will be brilliant again...their scenes tonight were fantastic.

Kat and Alfie don't have fundamental problems. They've just got Ronnie syndrome, which is that they've been put through such a ridiculous amount of crap in the last three years that their characters have changed too much. It's especially sad because of what a wonderfully happy ending they got back in Christmas 2005, which I remember absolutely everyone was overjoyed about.

EE have made her into St Kathleen of Walford so we could all forget that she cheated on Alfie when he eventually takes her back.
I wish they would realize Kat/Alfie are awful together but going by what Jean said tonight they still believe in the crap about the 'man on the moon'

IMO, it will be a joke if they get back together. Kat has messed up, far too much, so she doesn't deserve another chance. If Kat and Alfie, get back together, I hope that they leave. (Posted this before but I think that it suits this thread more.)

Kat and Alfie back together until she cheats on him again and uses the same reasoning as before. I am sympathetic to the character's past, but no-one wants to watch the pair of them going round in circles forever.

True, also she only seems to love Alfies' one he's using it with someone else. Kat/Alfie thing is so boring, EE really need to get over it and keep Kat away from Alfie.
