Just tuning into this now. The size of his house and car looks like there's good money to be made in pawn broking. Especially the luxury expensive items he's pawning.

The posh bird turned down for a loan probably just to buy another tacky handbag. She was not happy.

Just turned this on, is it Isy Sutty doing the voiceover duties?

What's with the plinky plonky, strings and piano music on Ch4 docs?
Signals to me that we should be laughing at the people/situations, at times.
Maybe it's just me?

I am amazed at how much the rich pawn.. It wasn't something I would even think they would have to do. But well the recession even hits the rich.

Some of these people seriously have far more money than sense.

The guy with his coins who couldn't remember where he'd put them ...

Why doesn't that woman just agree a repayment plan with British Gas instead of worring about debt collectors knocking on her door.

Some of them don't "need" to pawn things, they just see it as an easy way to loan money.

The guy with the helicopter is putting the money into a property deal. He may be planning on buying the helicopter back later on.

He would be mad not to if it's worth 2 million quid.

Hmm, not doing anything for me emotionally, the money involved.

Ex-boss of mine constantly kept selling and buying back his Triumph Stag, someone he knew (usually at the Golf club) would mither him to sell it, then they'd inevitably sell it back to him, at a profit to him.
Money for 'toys' one minute, no money for 'toys' the next, maybe the number of people lurching about from feast to famine would surprise us.

Oh, I felt for Julia there, as she seems to 'really' need the money, having a little flap at someone at the door.

It never crossed my mind either. I'd guess that some of these people have seriously overstretched themselves in ''keeping up''.

Oh I didn't mean eye-watering as in tearful Prince. Just the amount of money, I'm not tearful for any of them.
