Even by her own admission, these bags are extremely rare and you have to get on a list to be in line to buy one. So the bag expert probably has never seen one of these bags before. She's just inspecting it looking for obvious tell tale signs that it might be fake. that's just not good enough, Hong Kong fakes are very real looking.

It should have been authenticated by the bag maker. The risk is if it's a fake the maker will sieze it and "destroy" it.”

Very few fakes are going to be hand stitched and high grade leather - both of which can be easily checked. If they were, then they would be too dear as knockoffs. Like watches, the good fakes can look the part but the internals are always cheap.

I see they have turned this show into a series now. It starts on Thursday 17th April at 8pm on Channel 4. I guess the one off show last September was a success.

I hate sounding like i'm peeing all over someones dream but I wonder if that lady realises how difficult it is for her to achieve what she wants to.. ie.. have a hit record or even one that sells decent enough to make her a decent amount of money. Doesn't strike me as easy. But I suppose if she is prepared to part with the necklace and wants to give it a go then fair enough.

Can't believe that guy thought the Nigerian email was real.

Is the seal theirs to sell, if it wasn't listed as a fixture and fitting when they bought the house?

Perhaps a case of finders keepers?

All seems a bit contrived.

I find it hard to believe that in this age of Google that these ppeople are clueless about their items.

Dazzled by the thought of interesting 'toys', is the only explanation I can think of.
I can't believe he gave it a thought as more than a giggle to string the 'seller' along for a while.
I did enjoy his PA/Accountant ribbing him though, he really didn't seem to enjoy that.

I'm guessing the 'horsy' woman (I've forgotten her name) is divorced and ex hubby is paying for the house and kids, etc.

I remember a few of the faces involved from the first series.

Give us a clue what you're talking about.

Edit: never mind, seen your other post now.

Me neither. Some of the esteem I had for him dropped at that point and then dropped further when he was making the call to the emailer.

'Esteem' really?
He was talking to the Embassy, he and his PA must have said Embassy about 5 times.
