![]() I'm not a fan anymore of DW, but did you enjoy it the other night ? ![]() I really did enjoy DW. Well worth the wait. It was so much fun seeing Matt Smith and David Tenant play off each other. John Hurt makes a wonderful Doctor. I wish we had more episodes with him. Now I'm counting the days until the Christmas episode. Although it will be bittersweet saying goodbye to Matt

Please explain it to me. My sexy brain was on a much higher level and didn't really take it in. When did John Hurt become The Doctor?
![]() John Hurt is the War Doctor. He is the true 9th Doctor. He comes after Paul McGann and before Christopher Eccleston. We didn't know about him, because the Doctor was always trying to forget him. He was ashamed that he blew up Gallifrey. We learnt this in The name of the Doctor (episode 13 S7) I can't remember if they went over this in the 50th ....I would have to re-watch it ![]()

Why they couldn't keep him landing on a planet, meeting some friendly natives. Helping them ward of villians / monsters. Say goodbye, possibly taking one of the natives to travel with him and oft he would jolly well go to another planet in trouble

Thanks Wolfie. So is he The Doctor as in Paul McGann, and Christopher Eccleston or is he a new version?

Say goodbye, possibly taking one of the natives to travel with him and oft he would jolly well go to another planet in trouble ![]() When I said that he is the true 9th Doctor, what I meant was the order they are in.....8th McGann, 9th Hurt, 10th Eccleston, 11 Tennant, 12th Smith We didn't know Hurt's Doctor existed....confusing I admit ![]() Yes the Doctor always remembers his past self. I'm hoping that he will travel to new planets now that he is off to find his home again!! He's spends too much time on Earth
