Awww! How old is he? My son never lived at home after he was 18 and went to University, after dropping him there I cried all the way home

I feel your pain, it's hard when they grow up. I'm happy yours went to university, can't get mine to go. I tired to get him to just go to a community college ...won't even do that. It's because he was lucky and landed a good job right after High School....so he's put college off. Now I fear he'll never go ...but still hoping he changes his mind

You can't live their lives for them, Wolfie.....it took my daughter til she was 20 to go, and she now has a very good job in the city of London related to her degree. My son is currently in the States with his work training up the US office in new technology....his degree in Computing paid off! However it is not for everyone and some of my pals' kids worked straight from school and have done equally well for themselves. Others have degrees and are in low paid jobs or out of work. Maybe your son knows his path and is happy without a college education?

I don't get on him about his choices,I just tell him my wishes and leave it at that. He knows how I feel so I figure that's good enough. It's his life, and you're right, I can't decide for him.

I know college isn't for everyone. You're right college doesn't guarantee anything. I do hope my son knows his path and is headed in the right direction
