Remind me, though. Didn't a few years ago the TARDIS develop a fault where The Doctor could not control its destination and therefore landed anywhere. Did he get it fixed, because he now seems to know where he is going !!
How come his passenger always have enough change of clothes? Do they have a washing machine on board? In fact do they have bathroom facilities (his and hers ?) Do they have separate bedrooms - these are items that haven't been explored!

Hiya Martin
I agree that it isn't as complicated and that does make it more enjoyable.
In the episode The Doctor's Wife (brilliant episode) the Tardis "became human" and told the Doctor that she may not take him where he wanted to go, but always took him where he needed to go. So I think he does have control of where he goes, unless there's a more pressing issue that needs tending to?? I may not be the best person to answer this question, though
I don't know about a washing machine on board

But I do remember at the end of
Christmas Invasion David's Doctor had plenty of clothes to pick from
Also the Tardis size is infinite. I believe that was stated in the episode Journey To The Center of the Tardis. I could be mistaken though ...wouldn't be the first time

So if that is the case I'm sure there are plenty of bathrooms and bedrooms on board
