*This is NOT a soap VS Soap Thread*

As seen from the Fantastic DS awards that Dullagj2 ran last weekend DS has quite a good soap Community but there are still some people that hasn't managed to
Introduce themselves so i thought it would be nice for everyone (That wants to) to Introduce themselves a little here.

This Thread is All About You....

*Which Soap/s do you watch?

*What is your All Time Favourite Soap Moment?

*Who are your Top 5 All Time Favourite Soap Characters ?

*Who are your Top 5 Favourite Soap Characters at present ?

*Which Axed Soap would you like to Return?

*How old are you?

*Are you Male or Female?

*What Part Of the World are you from?

I watch EE, Corrie, ED and HO.
My all time fave soap moment was when Steve McDonald was slapped by Eileen and his head looked like it was spinning 360 degrees.
I would like The Bill to return, I for one didn't think it was quite finished yet.
I'm 28 (born in July 1985).
I'm from Salford in Manchester, and I'm male.

I watch the 4 main soaps, EE, ED, CS and HO.

HO is my favourite at the moment. Fast paced and interesting, albeit a bit to much when it comes to psychos, murders etc. ED is close 2nd though, it's doing very well IMO!

*Who are your Top 5 All Time Favourite Soap Characters ?

Loving Ronnie Mitchell being back on my screen, Jean Slater (although she's just gone ), Nancy Osbourne (HO) even though she seems to have not featured very much of late (looking forward to the continuation of this S/L), quite liking Freddie and Sinead (HO) and I never thought i'd say that about either of them. SL's have helped a great deal! Acting improving lots with Freddie.

Is 'The Bill' regarded a soap? I'd love love love for this to return! Although if this happened some of the soaps would lost a lot of their cast lol bit of a reunion going on at EE what with Diane Parish, Scott Maslen, Tony O'Callaghan and Lisa Maxwell all appearing or due to appear.

Young, sweet and innocent 25 (1988)

Male

Little Isle of Thanet right on the tip of Kent, SE England.

Edit:- Read it wrong, thought it asked what my favourite soap was at the moment. My favourite soap moment was that of Sarah Barnes demise in HO Later. Brilliant brilliant stuff and had me shocked for a long time afterwards!

I watch Hollyoaks and Coronation Street. Normally see Emmerdale omnibus at weekends, but don't specifically try and watch it, just if it's on. Dip in and out of Eastenders if I hear of anything interesting happening. Used to watch River City but missed a few weeks and couldn't be bothered trying to get back in to it. Catch the odd episode of Doctors depending on where I'm working and if the TV is on in the house I'm at. Goodness, I sound like I don't have a life outside of soap!
I'm 30yo male from West Scotland.
My favourite soap moment was Sarah's parachute death in Hollyoaks. For a character I never really bothered about, her death stunt was brilliant.
I'd like Brookside to return.
All time fave characters : Kim Tate (ED), Jambo (HO), Pat Evans (EE), Darren Osborne (HO) and David Wicks (EE)
Current faves: Darren Osborne (HO), David Platt (CS), Nicola King (ED), Nancy Osborne (HO) and Cindy Cunningham (HO)
Although my my opinions on all these change daily as I'm a very fickle guy!

Dan, 21 from Devon but currently living in Norfolk. I watch Eastenders and I have no interest in watching anything else. I treat it more as a guilty pleasure than anything.

I think my all time favourite character is Ronnie Mitchell played by the incredibly talented Samantha Womack. My favourite scene is probably when Chrissie, Sam and Zoe ganged up on Den. My favourite era of the show is from 2003 to 06 which is controversial, I know! But I just loved the gangster era.

Fair enough...You got a nice Guilty Pleasure but why feel guilty about watching EastEnders

Hi I am Matt, 39 from London.

I watch EE, Corrie & Neighbours.

Favourite Soap moment is a tough one but probarly something from Corrie or EE.

Channel 5 should bring back Brookside- in the mid 90's it was gripping television with some amazing storylines.

Agree about Brookside but not on Channel 5...Perhaps BBC or ITV could revive it

Emmerdale.
Its the only one that I never miss.
Coronation Street I dont watch regularly, even though I still record episodes, and sometimes I'll dip in and watch quite a few back to back if it seems like a good storyline. I tend to keep up with whats happening from the tv mags.
Eastenders I was an avid viewer. I dont even keep up with whats happening anymore. Hollyoaks the same, I dont even know who is who anymore.

My top 5 all time favs have to be

Carl King (emmerdale)
Barry Grant (brookside)
Kim Tate (emmerdale)
Fred Elliot, I say, Fred Elliot (corrie)
Matthew King (emmerdale) coz thought Matt Healy who played him was gorgeous. No other reason.

My top 5 currently

Hard to say as no one really stands out, and I only watch one soap regularly, so probably a little one sided.

Cain Dingle, an obvious choice.

There really is no one else I can think of.

Axed that I would like to return is The Bill. I really cant see why that wouldnt work.

Am female, age wise am old enough to know my own mind.

And live not a stones throw from the lovely city of Newcastle upon Tyne.
