I watched SCD but it was on the same time as things on the other channels.
Well yes, they couldn't exactly have it on when no other channel was showing anything

No-one, even on this thread, could possibly argue with that!

Strictly Come Dancing ratings are running a bit late today, I think people would record The IT Crowd or watch on +1

I'm surprised how Strictly continues to do well when it is basically the same every year. Other shows start to look tired when they've been on for so many years, but Strictly doesn't seem to be one of them. Brucie's jokes, the judges comments ('Seven','Disaster' etc), yet the audience laps it up as if it's the first time they've seen it.
in what way is it any different for txf, bgt, downton, corrie?

you could say this about any show!

Got to go to BBC1 Sundays.
Why?

It's doing fine where it is, it attracts the relevant audience, and there is absolutely no evidence that it would gain more viewers by switching days or channels.

Seconded. Excellent. Not sure on timeslot but shouldn't be affected by Brucies Oldies Dancing Show

Because BBC1 needs it?

Because BBC1 needs it?
But, importantly, IT does not need BBC one.

And indeed BBC one could actually harm it

And would leave a big hole in the BBC Two schedules.

Strictly averaged 7.1million *peak 8million
I'm thinking you did this just to send us into panic mode.

Not to bad considering it was Friday.
Given it's demographics, not really sure you can use the 'it was a Friday' excuse if Strictly's still-awaited figures are disappointing. Didn't see many retired old biddies out clubbing last night.

I watched SCD but it was on the same time as things on the other channels.
No-one, even on this thread, could possibly argue with that!

SCD 7.8
Corrie 8.2 8.0

ED 6.5
SHIELD 2.2
Are these genuine or predictions?

If genuine, not bad. Previous Friday starts have been around that (in 2011 anyway).

Can't decide whether that is decent for S.H.I.E.L.D or not. Obviously way more than if it was hidden on Sky (then again Arrow pulls in fantastic figures) and the close airing to the US (quite surprising for 4) will help

I'm thinking you did this just to send Samuel into panic mode.
You seem to be obsessed with Samuel and the little digs you keep having at him add nothing to this thread. At least Samuel's posts, whilst somewhat ridiculous at times, are generally on topic.

I hardly think posting false ratings on a site that *used* to be very informative and interesting to read is something to encourage and is somewhat childish.

If that's genuine then decent ratings all round other than EE.. that one is quite awful!

Samuel if he'd have said SCD 11.5m would you have gleefully accepted them?
