It would have been a bit tricky to film it as well not to mention the dialogue. They could have done it all in the big tank at Pinewood but would have had to rule out any actors who couldn't swim. It's a brilliant idea though

Too much exposure to XF perhaps - I just knew it could rot brains.

Its been a bit of football and then Netfix for me - I am catching up with 6 series of Dexter. Now why cant ITV/BBC make a show like that.

Bad reception for Atlantis, as I expected. XFactor will have an easy ride over the next few weeks, it should rate better than last year from next week onwards.

Yeah, but it won't be getting that a few weeks down the line.

X Factor has bored me rigid tonight, and there have been a fair few negative comments over on the X Factor forum as well. This new bootcamp twist is unnecessarily harsh and not in the least bit entertaining. The producers are in real danger of turning this series into a negative one and leaving a sour taste in the mouth of viewers. They need to be careful. When they rounded off the auditions with a negative audition a few years ago, the ratings started dropping.

Bad reception yes. Good reception yes. You wrote off Downton Abbey last week due to bad reception on social media! Give it a rest. You're getting tiresome. If anyone who watched Atlantis expecting historical or mythological accuracy then they need to find a BBC4 documentary. I watched it expecting to find a bit of escapism and a bit of Saturday night fantasy fix. And for that reason it was enjoyable.

People moaning about X Factor on the DS forum is nothing new.

Personally I think it's great telly. They should have done this years ago. It's easily the most engaging bootcamp they've ever done.

But it should get rid of he joke acts people are always moaning about each year. The music industry is cruel as well as other career's in the media.

Mine has gone like so:
17:30 I Love My Country
19:20 Stepping Out (one of the few I gather, )
20:25 Atlantis
21:15 The X Factor (switched over to a change in the Bootcamp stage; its genius. Very entertaining!)

See this is why you can't take opinions as facts. You've got some saying its awful and now some saying superb

I would agree. They can get rid of the joke acts here. While I think they seem like they are dragging it out a bit, I think its working well.

I bet you there will still be Joke acts put through to the Final anyways, which will pretty much make this new twist thing redundant.

I've never had a problem with the 'joke acts' - I've always found them entertaining, as well as seeing the talented acts too. And that's what have pulled the casual viewers in, in the past - the joke acts balanced out with the good acts, and that's what has made an all round entertaining show. I just think a lot of viewers may see this chair twist as being too harsh and will turn off as a result. It hasn't helped that they've only focused on one category tonight either.

Still, I might be wrong and the twist may have gone down well with the casual viewer. We'll see tomorrow and Monday how people have responded..

Love how you say this for the Xfactor, but at the same time constantly moan about EE.
