Well at least its a talented musician. It may work depending on his personality. Kyle is going to be boring so he may end up being the star of the show.

Doesnt matter if Kylie is boring during the auditions. The producers will edit it so the 5% of stuff which she says which is interesting during the filming will be shown and the other 95pct wont be shown. That's the great thing about having almost the whole series pre-recorded, it can be edited a lot to make coaches who may not be the best entertainment-wise look great. The editing and production values for the auditions stage of the Voice has always been excellent, as confirmed by the ratings.

Ah, so that's what you've been doing these last few days. I'd wondered where you'd been

More headlines of the changes at "EastEnders" this can only help the plateau in the viewing figures with more new signings and a new fresh cast. DTC is a good producer i reckon, But I do hope he also concentrates on the writers as well. As we have seen in rival soaps more of the magic is created in great stories and the figures just then soar up the ratings chart as "Coronation Street" and "Emmerdale" has found last week by creating story arcs and pay offs for their audiences now.

He is a like for like replacement as far as I can see - Danny was boring and Ricky the same. Still give him a chance I suppose.

Not a hugely surprising or indeed inspiring choice of fourth coach for The Voice. Kylie will help bring new viewers in but he won't. They've done an alright job overall though as the hosting lineup is an improvement. The new panel certainly won't be as annoying as the old one, but I have a feeling it might be a little dull, although the fact a good chunk of it is pre-recorded should help.

True, it could end very badly.

I think it was always intended as a one off fly on the wall documentary. I think it's landed on Tuesday mainly because they haven't really got anywhere else to put it at the moment with all their slots taken up. Plus Tuesday night is football night so it kind of fits there, although I'm not sure how much of a draw it'll actually be. Maybe 10.35pm on a football night might have been better.

Is it true that Celebrity Super Spa is ending a day earlier than scheduled due to poor ratings?

I really don't see any comparison whatsoever, a reasonably credible artist who has been in the charts for nearly 10 years, compared to a bloke I'd never heard of before he got the Voice job, from what seemed like a glorified guitar boy-band.

What makes you say Wilson is boring, always gives good quotes to the press, in fact if anything he's likely to be too controversial.

Still won't watch it, because down with this sort of thing, but he's the type of person that might make me have a look.

Why is it a problem if BBC daytime skews OAP. Are they not entitled to have programms aimed at them? I cant see why The Chase should be demographically much different to Pointless. Maybe your grandparents dont watch ITV daytime because its rubbish. Give them credit for having some taste.

Do you have a link to the EastEnders stories. Agree about the writers need sorting out. Good storylines are always the key to a successful soap.

I see no problem in TV appealing to an older demographic. It is a large number of people and helps turn programmes into successes look at Doc Martin and New Tricks as examples of that. Danny Cohen admitted that BBC1 skewed old and wanted shows with younger appeal, but he wasn't ditching shows that older people loved. That's the right way to do it.

Surely older people are allowed to have the BBC create programmes for them too they've paid the fee all their lives. There are a large demo that are watching daytime television. I think itv 3 is one of the older generations most popular channels.

You are right, but let's face it most quizzes including The Chase have an older demo. In the end I'm not a Pensioner and love Pointless, and it does seem to have a student following too.

Lacklustre for WDYTYA and pretty dreadful for Whitechapel, which surely faces the axe now.

Im afraid not Cyclon. The Inside Soap website release a lot of spoliers though or indeed Digital Spy soap forum. I commend the need for new casting but it been quiet on plotlines so far and what he has planned. The very key to it coming back on form. However if we were to go back to the days of not knowing stories in advance I wouldn't mind. Perhaps he will be more secretive than some producers I dont know. A good start is by strengthening characters and he created Shirley Carter so not a surprise he would create her a sister rather tban axe her. Expect to see a bit more screen time and stories for these two. I felt he should create another and have a family of sisters!

Whitechapel doesn't seem to be budging from that 3m mark, unfortunately.

I'll be interested to see how Wentworth held up with a terrible lead in. Hopefully it stayed around a million.

Maybe I am being too harsh but neither Danny or Ricky seem to have particularly effusive personalities as you would expect for this sort of show.

BBC2 did well at 8pm but pretty mediocre for the rest. Watchdog a bit lower than usual and Big Star Little Star isn't an outright flop but isn't doing much either. Not sure if that's enough for a second run. Pretty awful for The Three Day Nanny. Animal Maternity did just about OK but nothing more.

Interesting to see Super Spa rise. It's still a disaster but that rating is substantially better than Monday and Tuesday's numbers. Brian Cox did alright but hardly set the world alight.
