If Cowell returns, Chery Cole and co style soap opera in toe, the UK punters will lap it up. X Factor's still doing well here with a pretty good panel in Louis, Sharon, Gary, Nicole and if it was to be its best again it'd have no problem getting everyone in here excited again with its ratings.... Cowell shows are becoming like the Ryanair of TV you don't really want to go there but you kind of have to.

Unbelievable, she's been slagging off TXF for ages when she was a coach (or bus) on TVUK, and now wants to appear on it now she's quit.

I honestly feel she would send the ratings plummeting for X Factor.

She performed on XF in 2011. I believe that was after she was confirmed as a coach for TV.

Jessie J is better off performing on Strictly come dancing, as she did with the preview show. More viewers, more exposure to her music. Also a bigger cross generation of the public would see her on SCD where as XF isnt popular with older viewers who could buy her music.

I think artists know the power of the XF for selling. XF viewers are more likely to actually buy music. Jessie J knows this.

In spite of the sound ratings, I just wish he'd put X Factor to bed. Ten years, leave on a high. And focus on BGT.

just seen the bbc schedule for week 41 (starting 5th oct)- don't know whats going on with their autumn schedule. Its fully october by then and the autumn is in full swing and they really should be launching more dramas. With the monday and tuesday night slot free- I would have thought we would see at least two dramas buts its only truckers??????? Look with all the dramas they have to fit in, they should be launching at least another two more dramas (the paradise, last tango, the escape artist, ripper street.........). Sorry just a bit annoyed as I'm also really desperate to see a lot of their dramas esp. last tango and paradise. By the time we get them, it will probably be winter already?

I dunno, will Strictly's audience make it to the shop in time?

If they cut the occasional sex jokes, and made it as pure slapstick for children, it'd work on the CBBC Channel, but I can't see any redeeming featues for it as a BBC One comedy. And I loved The Wright Way, so I'm not one of those people who automatically slags off BBC One sitcoms.

Yes. I agree with you. She did nothing but slag off the XF. Proclaiming time and time again that TV was the real singing show that didn't rely on the judges being 'cruel' for entertainment value!

Calm down! Most dramas are 5 or six episodes. Their big shows will start at the end of October to take us to Christmas, but The Paradise WILL start soon. Be patient! ITV's big guns will finish by mid November. BBC1's will still be going strong.

That's a bit of a surprise. If they've started filming now, it could easily be ready for Christmas/January. Generally for sitcoms, it's a week or so of location work, then one rehearsal/studio week for each episode.

She really wouldn't. XF is a much better platform for her. Strictly isn't popular with the young viewers who are far, far more likely to buy her music than the oldies who watch Strictly instead. Plus SCD isn't a music show whereas XF is. We've seen time and time again what a huge force XF is in terms of selling records and shed be wise to try and get a slot on it.

ITV tend to describe anything January onwards as Spring so it could well end up there. Wonder what slot it'll get though.

And agree about the members you've listed (and some others we've lost) not posting as much or at all. A shame.

I wondered why that was back in the charts! I thought it might have been due to the efforts of my local radio station which has played the bloody thing every hour, for as long as I can remember.

See your point but the paradise and ripper street are 8 episodes plus not all the dramas can have the best time slot (i.e. sunday is a no-go and some of these dramas will have to go on wednesday or thursday). Maybe I went a bit overboard but I'm really looking forward to last tango and the paradise

There are three multi-part 90 minute dramas probably going on Sundays from November. Last Tango last year started 5 weeks before Christmas. The Paradise will start October 8th I expect. remember Atlantis wasn't in last weeks programme information but is now confirmed a slot a week this Saturday.
