Entertaining mix tonight with Teas and Claudia coping admirably. But this type of show really flies with a quick-witted entertainment host.
A couple on here mentioning Paul O'Grady's name. He would be perfect but I think it's slightly unlikely due to his health, would he really want the stress of 3 months of long Live shows?

I know I wouldn't. I think Graham Norton would be great for the show, I don't know if I'm alone in that opinion??

I think Norton is the obvious replacement, him and Claudia would be perfect imo.

I think you may find a lot of people disagree with that. She's been great tonight and so has the show.
I think shes fine but I have seen a lot of criticism of her on here - so was just pointing that out.

The personality-free zones that ITV are synonymous with, no thanks.

Strictly was great fun tonight. Did feel it was dragging on a bit though by about 8pm - I think given that ITV had no choice but to set up an extended clash, they got the timing pretty much bang on.
You say that but the most viewed dance on You Tube from last week is Susanna Reid's.
Not that that is any indication whatsoever of what's 'hot' amongst the Strictly fanbase, given that most of their demographics won't have even heard of YouTube.
A big Halloween is planned...Murder of a Popular Character
Spoiler
Popular in what sense? How long has he been in it?
I can't help but think that Dan appears to deem all EastEnders characters "popular".
Quite. I've never heard of this guy - and I'm one of the lost 'Ronnie's Dad'-era viewers that EastEnders are apparently so desperate to reclaim.

He would be great but I don't know if he could do long shows too long due to his health. Norton is the only one that I could see making it work or Noel Edmonds perhaps.

Bradley Walsh would be my suggestion.

They'll probably manufacture a judges houses 'twist' and get them to sing again. All about extending the show and packing in more commercials.

Even they wouldn't do something like that.

You can always turn it off, if you find it that disgusting...?

For ratings? Of course they would. Anything legal and within Ofcom rules is fair game.

He's probably got a lot of 'Chase' commitments.

True but it's the fanbase that go to the Strictly website to view clips. Abbey might have had the points but Susanna had more buzz generally.

There is a running joke that Danny Dyer is also called Danny Dire.

They may well just film the 'home visits'.

20 minutes left to reveal the Boys. Timing's been decent tonight and there don't appear to be as many ad breaks though I could be wrong there!

So EE has had return' of supposed 'MASSIVE' popular characters Sharon, Ronnie, Peggy and David which has really boosted the soap. Oh hang on.............

What makes people think killing of a 'popular' character is going to make EE stronger? EE needs to create long lasting characters, so far in the last three years more than 10 news characters have exited the soap after a short stint. If they keep doing this then they will run out of future stalwarts and just end up with an open door of new character after new character. This is what the audience will put off by. Its all well and good getting someone controversial like Danny Dyer for headlines when he arrives, but then what, i really don't think he will stay longer than 2yrs.

Looks like they are going to have 15 minutes left - the last two are being revealed now.

I got the timing wrong earlier. Maybe they are introducing wildcards?
