X Factor is the same as last year, I hate it, why haven't they done something?!
Sunday morning:
X Factor ratings are terrible, Strictly is going to beat it every week this year. ITV should cancel it and try something new.
Monday morning:
Oh, so X Factor was the highest rated (entertainment) show of the week and peaked with 10-11m viewers which isn't too bad really.
Midweek:
Looking at those demo ratings posted by Rzt, X Factor is by some considerable distance the most lucrative show on TV at the moment. ITV probably won't be in a rush to cancel it.
Deep breath and repeat.”
I'm already starting to see the first signs...

XF will never again reach the that height. One thing that is certain is that XF is one of the only shows to reach 19million after the millennium. The BBC would dream of ratings that high.
Anyway, ITV are more interested in the raw figure which will deliver the money. Catching up on XF in now the norm, as it is not 'must-watch' TV anymore.”
Samuel still lives in the noughties, it may seem. I don't know why we need to be reminded of the same things over and over again.
X Factor still timeshifts well (more so for Saturday shows).

Or alternatively, I did know all of that because you point it out every week every time anyone dares to say anything not negative about TXF and will no doubt do so every week until TXF finally does come to an end.”
Not that anyone would expect him to ramble on in the same fashion about Strictly...
What X Factor has and hasn't got in its favour for last night:
+ The usual rise between bootcamp and judges houses.
+ Poorer weather
+ Potentially a better lead-in
- Clash with Strictly
- Late finish
- Some people not knowing that half of the finalists were revealed last night (having switched off by 9pm).
I think XF may well be setting themselves up for another 'Gamu-gate' should they send home that Irish lass who is on her fourth go and she's practically been pimped by the judges so that anyone would assume she'd make it through the lives.
A few tweets from Mark Labbett last night:
never imagined we would be the warm up act for Simon Cowell....#celebritychase
or is it we are the only show not terrified of being up against strictly?

Well, Paddy wasn't either but we all know how that turned out!
