I think we can rule out Citizen Khan on Christmas Day. Please God!

It was suggested after Patricia Routledge refused to appear in any more od Clarkes "Keeping Up Appearances" that the cast carry on without Hyancith. I would imagine a total flop had it been allowed to continue. However the moment passed and the idea of futher series was dropped. However David Jason is such a good actor he should bring star quality without Barker.

I thought the idea of The One Ronnie was awful, but as early Christmas night viewing it kind of worked! If Open All Hours gets an early evening slot before DW then it could do well for settting up the entire evening.

Can't see Nan going out at 11.00pm, also got a feeling it's going to be more than 30 minutes

Surely we know that already. How old is Roy Clarke?

You're right, theres been a lot of promotion but actually now I believe they're going to put in on mondays? With ripper st on tuesday the week after (its due end of oct) and last tango on sundays at 8pm (due to air start-mid november). Or I could be wrong?

Why promote it for a month only to put it against the last episode of Doc Martin? If they were putting it on Monday they'd start it the week after, on the 28th.

Sorry, you're right about the doc martin clash. But then, ripper street could still go on the monday 28th and the paradise remains on tuesdays with last tango on sundays. Could any of these dramas, though go on wednesdays????
You're also right about the promotion for the paradise- it has been quite heavy (the trailer was on before scd last night) whereas theres been nothing for ripper st- no trailer which is odd considering its due the week after the paradise????????

So Sunday is possible? The Paradise might work there.

Shocking rating for XFactor. Beaten comfortably head to head by Strictly and then in the 8pm hour, its rating didn't even go up and it peaked with less than 10million viewers . The Sunday shows are now struggling too and that is well below the ratings of previous years. Judges Houses Sunday episode is normally one of the biggest episodes of the series! Looks like people are getting bored of this show, 4 episodes in a row have rated below year on year comparisons. It is in a poor state and even after the massive promo push and changes, viewers are bored! Well done SCD for beating XFactor .

Sunday at 8pm is possible, it's either that or it's regular Tuesday slot.

If Ripper Street is due that week we should see a trailer this week, 2/3 weeks is enough time to promote a returning series, The Paradise has probably been given extra promotion due to the move to Sundays. Also The Paradise is more suitable for a pre-watershed slot than Last Tango is, I don't think it has ever been rated above PG.

Including plus 1 x factor actually beat strictly and also peaked with over a million more viewers.

also the first results of 2010 series of strictly were nearly 2 million higher than the figure they got last night.

Strictly consolidated to 9.33m (+1.52m) on Friday and 10.53m (+1.42m) on Saturday, brilliant timeshifts there. The Friday episode is now up on the last two years.

Atlantis got 7.36m (+1.73m) very impressive.

GBBO reached a new high 7.32m (+1.53m) ever so slightly higher than last year's final (7.323m vs 7.319m)

The Wrong Mans also timeshifted brilliantly, 4.45m (+1.37m), shame that the only way is down.

Thanks Mike!

Some massive ratings there. Is there a list on the site that shows the top shows for the week?

Its only the grey army thats propping up SCD. With Brucie going soon, you'd wonder if the oldies will still have a reason to tune in?

I think Last Tango will start on Thursdays once Truckers has finished. 14th Nov 21st, 28th, 5th Dec, 12th and 19th December. Plenty of room for it. If Ripper Street starts on Monday 28th then that will finish on December 23rd. This leaves post DA Sundays for The Escape Artist and Quirke.

The Great Train Robbery I predict will go on Wednesday nights at 8.30pm.

Wow! Who would predict that! A new Christmas Special of Open All Hours! such random news! Last seen in 1985! The star of the show is no longer with us. It should rate well, but I don't think it is going to rate amazingly. Lets be honest, it is going to be a totally different show with just the same title of a sitcom last made in the 80's. Mrs Browns Boys will still be the highest rating comedy on Christmas Day I imagine.
