When Miranda Met Bruce: 4.11m (19.6%)
Stepping Out: 3.49m (18.1%) Iron Man: 1.4m (7.5%) / 1.7m (inc. +1) Hang 'Em High: 1.1m (5.9%) / 1.2m (inc. +1) The Awakening: 1.0m (5.9%) Some more ratings: http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/tv/news/...-saturday.html I feel uneasy about slating a show just because I don't personally like it, that seem to me a very childish and selfish thing to do.. Xfactor have pushed back to 2020 next weekend so hardly any overlap with SCD.

Tesco @Tesco 20 Sep
#Downton Abbey begins. We’ll be tweeting along. *baited breath*. Promoted by Tesco I assume they're sponsoring? |

The week after that (12 October), with both shows lasting around 2 hours or more, and so a major clash cannot sensibly be avoided, is when the fun starts.

Why do DS not make note of who won primetime anymore?

As for a Mrs Browns Boys movie cant say I am suprised but as a big fan of the show I am not sure he can pull it off - as others have said the audience is part of the show - how can you do that on film?

Is my EPG correct? 5* have a double-bill of new The Walking Dead tonight? Good for the few like me who are watching at the slow pace of C5. Is it perhaps in light of FOX announcing its imminent season 4 premiere?

Watching By Any Means, being one of the few who has never seen a second of Downtown Abbey. I just don't get the appeal and from the latest trailers I most definitely won't be watching any time soon.

Make a film about making a television show I guess.I hear the two Christmas specials were pretty riotous and Brendan has hinted strongly at a new series in 2014.

Then turn back to BBC1 as soon they realize X Factor is on bootcamp.
![]() I expect they'll have a big promotional push on it this week. |

I agree they were good for the ratings thread though - we could argue about them for days.
From Broadcast I can give the overnight primetime shares for the week of 9-15 September: BBC One - 20.6% (down -1.6% from equivalent week in 2012) BBC Two - 7.9% (+0.7%) ITV - 23.6% (+0.8%) Channel 4 - 7.0% (+0.4%) Channel 5 - 4.1% (+0.6%) Others - 36.8% (-0.9%) The above include +1 and use a primetime definition of 18:00-22:30. The latter is favourable for BBC One in that it includes their strong weekday news hour at 18:00, but it omits the 22:30-23:00 slot which is also pretty good for them, relative to their terrestrial competitors. BBC One down quite a bit year-on-year for that particular week, at the expense of the other four terrrestrial channels. The post-Olympics afterglow enjoyed by BBC One last year possibly accounts for part of this, along with the fact that Strictly aired in the equivalent week in 2012 but not in 2013. Broadcast also records the overnight daytime shares (09:30-18:00) for the same week (9-15 September 2013): BBC One - 18.5% BBC Two - 3.95% ITV - 13.5% Channel 4 - 5.7% Channel 5 - 4.3% Others - 53.9% |

Already 15mins in, the critics are saying that Downton abbey seems different with all the new characters and changes:
Leigh Holmwood @LeighHolmwood 1m I usually love #DowntonAbbey but I'm really not feeling this. It'll get better right? The backlash has commenced. |

Thankfully rzt periodically publishes them, excluding +1 and on the basis of 19:00-23:00, in accordance with how DS used to give the primetime shares.

You've got to avoid underpredicting for a show you like.
![]() XF usually does see a bit of a boost for its final audition show, so I'd predict 9.2m. Bootcamp looks interesting from the trailer - they'll have to promote it though. |
