Seems to me they are holding back for a drama blitz when I'm A Celeb comes along.

Presumably they didn't want The Paradise starting against Pride of Britain ? Although that isn't really a big hitter.

Depends which ones you're watching. Same is true of sitcoms from anywhere really.

They must have Found the tapes when clearing out tv centre, makes a change to the normal antiques and property shows

And I'm still yet to watch a full episode of either.

I've never seen any of New Tricks or Downton. Also I'm fairly certain I've never watched an entire episode of Coronation Street either.

Fool Britannia is no TV Burp. (No sign of Sat Night Takeway as per Samuels conspiracy)

No sign of any Corrie on the Sunday, or to lead in to Breathless on the Thursday.

Looks like it is Truckers vs Breathless.”

Whoever thought of putting Fool Britannia before X Factor must be off their rockers. Swap it around with Celebrity Chase is what I would say.

X Factor and Saturday Night Takeaway would have been a match made in heaven but it would never happen.

Very good - yes that makes a change, and ones to record!

Never seen New Tricks or Downton either, though I have watched an entire episode of Coronation Street!

No, but it's more likely to be on Christmas Day.

Maybe...

Off their Rockers would most likely do better than Fool Britannia though.

Nope, but I hear one of the adult channels is screening "Breathless Truckers" this Friday late night...

If anyone has seen any evidence that BBC schedulers know what their doing could you please post it here.

This shows that 78.3% of people in the UK have watched BBC One at some point in a week, and an impressive 45.8% of people will have watched on a daily basis.

Secondly the figures for all TV were - Daily reach of 44,462,000 which was 76.9% and a Weekly reach of 54,411,000 which was 94.1%

Total weekly viewing 25:55 hrs per average viewer.”

Reach is a marketing tool, it's use here.

Channel 4 are big on the spin potential of "reach" as well.

3 minutes viewing of a programme means you're "reached", for statistical purposes.

Mega night for NBC. The Voice up on the last two seasons' launches and The Blacklist debuted well. Shame it's on Sky Living as it looks very good indeed.

ABC did ok. DWTS down heavily week on week, but just like Strictly, it skews very old. Castle did ok.

HIMYM did very well for CBS, but from there on it went a bit wrong. 2 Broke Girls down a point on last year's launch and Mom debut was a bit disappointing. Hostages will not get a renewal.

Fox was very topsy turvy. Bones was weak, but Sleepy Hollow was strong.

--

Tonight, there is a big showdown between all 4 main networks at 8pm;

ABC - Marvels Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D
CBS - NCIS
NBC - The Voice (through to 10pm)
FOX - Dads/Brooklyn Nine-Nine

Initially I thought that The Voice might perform weakly against S.H.I.E.L.D, but after such a strong launch last night, I'm pretty sure it won't be below 4.0. Having said that, I think S.H.I.E.L.D may hit 4.0 and above. NCIS will still do well, whilst Fox will crash.

I'm still convinced it'll go there as well, I think we'll see it switched with Antiques Roadshow when the schedules are confirmed tomorrow. That or the week after.

Wouldn't be such an idiotic move imo (so BBC probably won't do it), it'll attract a similar audience to AR and could take away those who just watch X Factor while waiting for Downton. People on here having been going on about more drama at that time for ages (including myself.)

Knowing how idiotic BBC schedulers are, I'll raise you to a £1.

There has to be some reason why they started the new series of Antiques Roadshow in August rather than late September. And an 8pm slot for Paradise would explain it.

Talking of S.H.I.E.L.D, can anyone explain to me Channel 4's bizarre scheduling of this? Friday nights at 8pm? Really?

It is indeed peculiar. I had thought they'd pair it with Homeland on Sunday nights. That seems like a killer combo with a film of some kind leading into SHIELD. Of course that would have put SHIELD into the direct firing line of X Factor though.

Mind you, Digiguide updated earlier and had Antiques Roadshow added in to the schedule. Before it was suggesting SCD was on for an hour and 3/4.
