Other artists are entitled to release albums on the same day as the boys you know LOL! I don't think 1D have anything to worry about. Like another poster above said, Gary is no Robbie when it comes to record sales.

Like you say all the big releases are timed in the fourth quarter. In the US and UK more records are sold in the last two months of the year than the rest of the year combined, so it's hugely competitive. I am sure sales of the boys album will be excellent on both sides of the pond.

Apparently, she has an ace up her sleave this year. A duet with Elvis as the first single. Like you say though, I am sure 1D will be the winners out of her, Gary and them.

I was looking at the box office for the movie in some of the bigger markets in Europe and it doesn't appear to be doing very well at all on the continent. Don't think it's out in Germany yet?

Doing well in Italy at No 1 with $2M.

But compare that to the UK with $9M and US with $27M there is quite a big difference between the UK/US and Europe. I still think the takings with Asia and Australia added will be close to $100M worldwide which us superb for a movie which cost $12M but I was surprised about some countries in continental Europe.

Re This Is Us BO in Europe:
I told you there were so few people at my theater both time I went to see it (I was ALONE the second time)... So while I went to see it en english, I wasn't expecting great things from France.

I don't think they got a #1 here anyway, & our average music sales are a lot lower than in the UK too.

Particularly irritated by this if true as the boys have really supported him in the past and some also follow him on Twitter. He does seem to want to put it across that he is a 'Real' musician.

He is an X factor alum, not anything else for now... And it's a dangerous game to play IMO, you never know if the non X factor public is going to be interested, but I can tell you that part of the 1D & Matt Cardle fans aren't anymore probably.

Considering the way he seems to think himself above other former X factor people (unwarranted attacks against Matt Cardle), I would not be surprised if it turned out to be true.

I think the 1D boys will be disapointed eitherway:
Being used that way in a marketting plot isn't great,
Or someone they championed is "betraying" them (louis in particular).

How on earth can anyone believe this? They are signed to the same record label. He knows how important 1D are to Simon Cowell. James does have a single and album coming out soon, and looking at the MF, people who are not his fans are hoping he fails and it's been one controversy after another.

To be fair the guy that James tweeted to kept a screenshot of his comments. He did seem to react instead of thinking about what he should tweet and how it would look.

You're both right, but I think the emphasis is on proving to those who aren't into X Factor acts that the show is able to produce a credible act, and most especially urban, something they've never achieved.

But the result is sadly that he still wrote what he did in the spur of the moment -which might show that while he likes the boys, he must think his music is much better (to put it nicely).
He doesn't come accross that well on Twitter from what I hear, so he should let his music do the talking for him. People seem to like that!

Matt Cardle's days were numbered when he continuously slagged off 1D and Cher Lloyd to promote himself. Even Syco non X Factor acts are loyal to the label. When Labrinth was accused of slagging off the X Factor, his response was, "why would I sh*t on my family". Lol!
