@mtbfmsurabaya: #NP Claude Kelly ft Ryan Tedder & Alexandra Burke - All That Matters #MTBpost. What's this??

I googled it but it only came up with a youtube link that credits Alex, but it's someone else singing
It's from 2012 though, so I doubt anything will happen with it anyway

There is a link of youtube and Ryan Tedder and Claude Kelly are singing on it, but not Alex, maybe they just listed the wrong female singer.

Edit: Had a quick search and managed to find out Faith Hill recorded that song for the end credits for the film 'Life As We Know It'.

Ah we're so close now. I can't wait to get that feeling when you hear a new Alex single for the first time.

This is an old demo from like 2010. I think the female singer is RaVaughn Brown, the backing vocalist on All Night Long.

Alex probably has worked with Claude though. They worked together on Overcome.

Addicted to the snippet and the live version of No More You! Can't wait to hear it in full, seems like an Overcome leftover (I mean it easily gets along with tracks like Gotta Go and Before The Rain) *excited to tha fullest*

Yass definitely Epic with the pictures of Fifth Harmony and Tamar in the background. I think Jojo is Alex's A&R at Epic. Hopefully there will be an announcement soon. Ready for Alex to snatch that major label backing.

Pretty much confirmed she's signed to Epic then. I'm surprised she's managed to hold onto that contract with them for so long. Thank god she has.

Personally I think she was dropped and only recently resigned.

Dropped from where? As I know she's been JoJo's pet since the start.

From Epic. Overcome was under Syco and Epic thanks to Beyoncé. Epic were supposed to be launching her in the US in Spring 2010, but that never happened and then Epic wasn't involved in HOH at all, so she was obviously let go.

I find it weird that Epic would sit back all the way through HOH with no involvement and then suddenly want her back, so it makes sense that she was dropped and Jojo got her the new deal.

Jojo only recently got hired by Epic, I'm pretty sure he's brought Alex on to the label now as well. She was partying with that Joey Harris guy at New Years and he is working at Epic now as well.

Agree also if Alex was under epic she would NOT have been so affected by the RCA heartbreak on hold madness she could've gone straight to the US after it flopped and recorded from the get go maybe even without looking for KWL.

Jojo probably used his new position to get Alex in also with the help of negotiations back and forth from epic and Kevin Liles

Agree although this has been nearly a year now this has done her well and equipped her with big organisations backing her for the return to music and launch

I think she's in the best place possible for any former XF contestant. Her managers actually care about her and want to see her succeed. I don't think she's just business and money to them.. they actually recognize the talent and that's where she's different from every other XF artist.

I hope it all works out the way it should because out of everyone I think she deserves it the most.

You can really tell that they have an emotional connection they want this perfect not just to cash up on Alexandra's brand but to make her what she's always dreamt of being a worldwide superstar

Same.

That 2013 report of Kevin saying she was gonna be a superstar (or at least him taking her talent seriously) wasn't fake! I mean from a US perspective him seeing a dark skinned girl like Alex sell 4m records in the UK in less than two years is incredible. Not even Beyonce managed that with her first two albums.

She is in a very good place. She has essentially got what all other X Factor acts haven't got, a clean slate. I've not seen any other act manage this, she has worked hard for this.

It has taken well over a year, but to be honest, if we consider what happened back in June 2012 with HOH, miracles have been worked for Alex. She's got a team that believes in her, new management and a brand new sound.

I just hope it pays off. Of all the X Factor winners, Alex had the most potential imo, but she wasn't handed out the opportunities that other winners got. She had to work for a lot of it, and Beyoncé also did her quite a few favours as well. I don't think Simon ever really knew what to do with Alex, so I'm glad she's totally free from his brand now.
