Like I said before, I think they are considering other options. NMY is great, but I don't think it's that strong, and Shine sounds like an album track.

I think it's telling that she's still in the studio a lot at the moment and considering she just said that a date hasn't been set for the album, I think it's going to be delayed now. I think late February for the first single is looking more likely at this stage.

I'd rather they focused on getting the right songs though, I'd hate if they rushed it out, plus there's less pressure for them to get it out on time as she will be a debut artist in the U.S. No-one is waiting for her album there so I guess they have a bit more time to play with, but they can't take months though or it will be a waste of time.

Shine was never going to be a single, she's not that dumb. I think NMY will be at some point, maybe single 2. Judging by it all, I think they're deciding on how to launch her and market her through the material. You can't get it wrong.

Looks like these are Alex's stylists for the new era:

http://beholderel.com/partial-client-list/

http://www.rubinsinger.com/biography/

They are very capable, so I hope they have Alex looking good in the U.S.

AB has arrived like guys I'm shocked

What is this transformation???
What is it I can't believe it

From UK dismissal to working with people who've styled beyonce
I can't cope with this evolution. Strong forces at work she's a super power now

The problem never has been her but her team. The team is everything as Beyonce post 3rd album can attest.

It's very exciting. Both those stylists have worked with Beyoncé and various other big names, so I'm expecting Alex to look great for the launch.

I've noticed that she's been having a lot of meetings lately, I wonder if this is the new label at work? Either way, it's all very positive and exciting, things are starting to pick up now.

Hopefully they get the first single picked and finished soon, I just can't wait to see her making the debut in the U.S.

I imagine Jaquel knows Rubin, and has introduced her to him.

Possibly, or maybe the label set it up? Exciting that she now has top stylists working for her in the U.S. though. She's coming to slay.

Guys why does it seem like Alex has just signed to her new label, judging from David's tweets. He has defenitely ruled out couture music! We'll just have to wait and see!

Why does he always speak so rude about us?
Like how are you going to offend the 5 genuine fans Alex has left? It makes no sense

CM was ruled out a long long time ago though. There are now too many links pointing to Epic Records and LaFace Records, so it's one of those or both imo. Exciting either way.

So far any exchanges between me and Dave have been ok. In saying that should it come to fan loyalty you guys take the cake for staying with her even after she flopped. no shade. Tbh this could be our most successful era but this anticipation game Alex is playing is getting her nowhere. If I'm honest I would rather she gave us all the news at once, instead of giving us hints that leave us guessing. She needs to hurry up tbh cause this waiting game and *studio* sessions are nothing to go off.

Because she probably has.

But like I said earlier, we're the only ones feeling the pain in waiting. The U.S. is her target market now and she has never had an official release there so I guess they think they have a bit more time to make sure everything is right, and fair enough.

I think Alex has tried as best she could to show her appreciation, she did release a free EP when she was in between labels and she has given us some details. The rest we've worked out as we usually do.

She's had to make a massive change, so I'm not going to get too mad at the wait, as long we don't get to April or something with no music. She seems to be making the right moves at the moment, so I'm hopeful.

I think right now it's locking down final few days of recording and styling is in position for her debut wherever it is (highly doubt it's a Grammy exclusive or something) but I do think forces are at work and she'll premiere with something big

It is her brother's birthday to be fair. I don't think she'll be back in the UK for long.

Exactly, she's been in recording studios and away from home for quite a while, anyone would miss their family, and Alex is very close with them. I doubt she'd want to miss any birthday tbh.

I think it will be a week max. personally, maybe even less. She will probably have to get back to the US quickly as it looks like the era is in the final stages of preparation.

Fair enough it's her brothers birthday, although travelling from the US just for that is slightly excessive imo. My sisters in Newcastle and I wouldn't even visit her there just for her bday. It's not like the album is coming soon any way so it doesn't bother me
