Cheryl makes a lot of money though. When you do, you get records out fast...see Rihanna. Alex had all of that from 2009 to late 2010. She got shafted simply. She does need to hurry up though, she can be so slow. Cheryl's probably been working on her album for a long time, and she has LOADS of songwriters working with her, she's a financial powerhouse.

I don't think the song is one of the top songs she's made. The best stuff she's done she can't release sadly/was taken for other artists. And it'll always be like that. Hence why she should've been writing a long time ago.

So Rough Copy have been signed to Epic... Someone posted a thread on ATRL mentioning an X Factor act had been signed, and I ran in there thinking it was Alex. -_-

I think a big part of her problem is that she isn't a songwriter, and has to rely on other people to give her songs. That's fine if you're Rihanna or Beyonce and people are lining up to give you their best material, but Alex obviously isn't getting offered good songs if this latest one is anything to go by. I know she wrote WMCB on the last album but that didn't exactly display great songwriting skills.

True. However, that song was written when she was 18. Now I started writing when I was 17 and the songs then were dirge, I'm 21 now and have been writing since and the stuff is considerably better. If she kept writing in private, getting advice etc, she could easily come up with a good song with the help of a co-writer, I mean she had the contacts.

Elton John warned her and Leona years ago about the situation they're in now, because they were so talented, and could be great. And he was right.

The biggest issue with that song was the production for me, it was basic and hollow (and sadly she's followed the trail of that song with the EP and this new song). I liked the opening line from WMCB, it worked really well as an opener + closer.

The EP had potential in places too, if that was the demo work, it could have been great...with bigger production. It's like she's lacking the right producers, because the style isn't even the problem, it's the production. I don't get why she hasn't researched proper people...or maybe she did and they didn't want to work with her.

LOL. But that 'album' clearly became the EP though. And judging by the sound of the new song, I'm right

I feel like alex feels shes too good for some labels thats why she keeps turning them down. She will never get anywhere if she keeps going like this. She should have just gotten signed by columbia, they would have taken her the pop/ RnB route we wanted.

I don't think so, I think it's more a case that what she offered would not make them money.

I find it highly unlikely that she has turned down label offers.

So blogs have picked up on the 'single' WDHG classing it as an album saying it's flopped ... This is why it wasn't a good idea.

I personally see this album flopping hard. I think alex is gonna start the launch in the UK then its gonna flop and by the time shes relised she should have gone with a US campaign its gonna be too late. Then its bye bye music hello west end.

I think she that she still have a chance... After The Bodyguard people will keep talking about her, so she should release a strong promo single even in the UK.. I think that people wont even remember about WDHG then
