I'm sure she said early next year on a radio interview, but then said no date has been set yet. So if its early next year a single needs to be coming in the next month or so.. Tbh I think it's more likely to be later on in the year so the first single can be launched early 2014.

Sylvia Rhone has a proven track record. More than proven.
Most people these days are signed to subsidiary labeles under major labels which would be the case if this little rumour is true.

A lot of you guys are so stuck in the status quo of how things are done that you don't see the bigger picture.

lol I agree I don't see any harm in this. I think it could be quite good. All labels started somewhere.. We're lucky it's not JoJo's CoutureMusic....

I'm concerned about the budget and scope of that label. The artists on there aren't exactly success stories.

It did only launch in January. You can't expect their first few artists to blow up just like that.

True. But it depends on the act in question. I didn't like Kat Dahlia at all, and I've known about her for months. No idea she was signed to them at all. I get the All Access emails and her single Gangsta was sent through the promo rounds MONTHS ago, as one of the 'new acts to watch'.

I LOVE THIS. Sounds like a label who will give Alex a bloody chance and cater to her needs. She can still converse with LA and be with this powerhouse Sylvia

Unless L.A is leaving Epic to restart LaFace with Babyface, I just think that this is Alex's way of giving us a hint.

LaFace has been defunct for years, so I think it's a hint for either Epic or VestedInCulture. But we'll see, anything is possible after all. But who'd have thought that after HOH we'd be having these types of discussions. It's an exciting but also a crucial one. Hope she has made the right decisions this time.

Something seems to be happening though. David seems to be talking about something Alex related with his latest cryptic tweets. Very mysterious at the moment, but I think the new label has been finalised now. It's just a question of them letting us know.

What I don't get about Alex sometimes is how she highly rates some fans to others. Fair enough I understand they have met her before so have a deeper connection, but you know...

ATM I'm glad she's just getting on with it and boom! Comes back with the single. It's all about the single quality and the image imo. She has the fashion in her out-and-about on point, it's the stage which needs to be on point.
