At least she's getting positive publicity. Lots of people do it. I recently mentioned FKA Twigs and she retweeted it. And for her, it's been a long time since anyone has given her actual praise for what she's good at (nearly over 4 years...). I'm not surprised.

That's different though. It's not just one person.

Also, if she can't get a deal, I'd rather she forged ahead in general entertainment US wise. Money is money, and she's not about that independent-creative life. Let's be real.

For me, it's not a issue at all. I hardly doubt it's harming the overall quality of your life, with all due respect. Allow her to continue doing it, she has had a hard time in her career in recent times so it's probably been a while since she has seen this momentum of positivity on a consistent basis...That can do wonders for her confidence. You are not forced to read it & can always unfollow. Nobody tells us how to tweet so nor should we tell her as it's not as if she is cussing out people etc.

Also I think it's a good thing from a business perspective. People these days have less interest in people self promoting and glorifying their product or service, but what people do though is seriously consider word of mouth as a trusted form of testimonial to undertake a product or service. Potentially, if her twitter audience see so many people praising the show ... It can create intrigue to see it for them self IMO.

If a deal is a struggle and she has opportunities that open up to her going forward that takes her on a new path in her career, than good luck to her I say. Diversifying your portfolio of credentials is never a bad thing. If she was never sell another record again, she'd always will be a multi platinum selling music artist with multiple number #1's

I really hope there are more chapters in her music part of her career but I ultimately just wish her happiness above that all. Fingers crossed

Well Im not like a lot of people that are here only for Pop Alex, or Dance Alex or Urban Alex. Im just here for her. And you might say that Im toady, but I will support her still even if she'll move to acting... Like you all said money is money, and if she'll be good at acting, her portfolio will grow, and maybe, maybe someday she'll get a new artistic vision of herself, and she'll get a great label...
Right now I hope that she'll go to US and release this third album, and we'll see how things will go. Maybe she'll do good, and music will be her main thing. Maybe not. I don't know, but as long as she's happy I am too

Each to their own but it's good to be open minded because careers can change route and diversify subject to circumstances at the time or opportunities that present themselves. It's no different to us in the sense that we all seek to do the best we can but we don't pigeon hole ourselves to not undertake potential avenues that can present a new level of success, respect & opportunities.

Anyways, within the entertainment world the three main disciplines interlink anyway so who knows what can come about. Life is a funny old journey sometimes. I'm happy she is finding a way to earn and do what she needs to do... She has a a lot to learn but learnt so much, here's hoping she can fulfill what she aspires to in music and beyond

Barely. It saddens me that she has TWO unreleased projects that will never see the light of day. Let's not act like she has had some stellar singing career and she is making a transition into acting after success.

Besides Overcome, the rest of her music career has been a mess. She has two albums sitting somewhere gathering dust, one rushed one which was released and flopped and two low quality EPs. It's criminal considering her talent, she's capable of so much more. It feels like she's just giving up on singing to me, not because she actually wants to be an actress. It's going to be a shame that her amazing performance skills are now going to take a backseat. She is by far the best all-round entertainer that The X Factor ever found.

If she wants to go into acting then good for her, but she will have to land some pretty big roles to sustain any kind of lasting career. She doesn't stand out as an actress like she does as a singer, all she has is The Bodyguard, so I hope she has hired a good agent for this Hollywood venture, or it will end in disaster. To be honest, I'm not here for her becoming an actress, but I will probably watch from a distance in any case, to see how it goes for her. It's just a shame that she feels that music isn't a priority anymore.

But mate. She's not very good in the music itself stakes, people FAR and WIDE say that. With Overcome it was subjective, from SWY onwards it was not. The music is not the tea. I'd rather she was in general entertainment than released trash record after trash record. I voted for her to become a sensational act in the industry, and she's had a taste of that, and did it well. Her music faltered due to bad planning, lack of self inspiration (let's be real, if one wants to be a real creative, they can), wrong management moves and other ish. Insanity is doing the same thing, the same way and expecting different results so they say.

I want her to do her best. If she's going to keep putting out music,I want to see videos like FKA Twig's Two Weeks etc. Vibrant stuff and good ideas. It's like she doesn't think a lot/outside the box. With the internet there, you've got no excuse these days.

We haven't heard the majority of her unreleased material so I wouldn't go as far as calling it "trash".

Well people only review released works of art, not the things one works on behind the scenes that never (and in this case, are very unlikely to ever) see the light of day. It's called the modern world.

In my opinion we have yet to see music from her that Alex herself is truly happy with. Overcome was a good debut, but at the end of the day she was signed to the most commercial label around and they decided what direction she went in, not her. Second album defintely was not what she wanted in my opinion, it was ridiculous. On X Factor she won for her voice, yet none of the material she has released since has shown it off. In my opinion, that is what utimately turned people off her, The music/albums she has released are not reflective of the kind of artist that people voted for on X Factor. She was belting out Mariah, Christina, Beyonce, Whitney, Toni on X Factor and that's what people voted for...yet a lot of the music she has actually released is more fit for the Eurovision Song Contest. I don't blame her at all...it's all label politics. It's just a shame.

She looked inspired, alive and free with Rico love for the second (Original) album that was her carefree and living moment in her career then it all came crashing down. I do agree with the view that Alex has never been 100 percent behind the music released
