I think KWL were maybe suffering from financial issues. They invested so much time in her and they pumped a lot of money into her...they even flew over here to see her when she did her intial stint in The Bodyguard. They definitely had a lot of faith in her and backed her decision to do The Bodyguard. Also, when she first announced that she was doing The Bodyguard, she said over and over again that it was only for three months...she made sure to make that clear. The plan was definitely the album after it finished. Something went wrong and I think maybe KWL had financial issues.

Indeed! I've got this feeling that she'll tell us all in March when she'll release the Renegade EP. I mean she keeps telling that this EP will be very personal, and she's writing songs herself too so maybe she'll open up.

btw. I love her snapchat at the moment! And she's in the BBC radio right know? Say what? The Bodyguard have such a great promo! I hope it will help her regain her fanbase before the EP etc.

No the TV channel.. It's a morning breakfast show that gets just around one million viewers. Morning TV programmes like This Morning,Lorraine,GMB,BBC Breakfast etc seem willing to promote everyone lol but usually don't make much of an impact music wise..

Its BBC radio 4 so don't get your hopes high. Their audience ranges from mid 40 to late 60s

I'm 57 yo and I love Alex. Believe me when I say that there is a vast audience outside of the pop culture, She'll do well because she's versatile,

Well hello, we don't see you around here that often anymore

I agree though about her versatility. I think that's what won her The X Factor in the first place.

Remember Angel? After his album didn't do well he got dropped. Apparently he released an EP. I didn't hear nothing of this lol but he's just signed with island. It's very possible that's her strategy.

On a secondary note, etta bonds song feels like is nice. You really don't need a huge budget for a great production. Of course exposure isn't as big with no label but the art itself can be created.

Also looks like epic are back. Fifth harmony and the all about the base babe have seen things pick up. Interesting the patience 5h were granted. Not many acts get that in this day and age

Her second cut off the Beast Sessions, Sam Smith's I'm Not the Only One:

She's done it effortlessly. Bravo my girl!

That cover was life! Although I didn't like the way she got so aggressive with it in the end.
Angel was very lucky to get signed again but I'm not sure that'll be the same for Alex seeing as the British public hate her!
I love fifth harmony and think that they could very well be a new Destiny Child but Epic is a horrid label group! The success of 5H comes down solely to their fans!

Glad she did INTOL but I didn't really like it tbh, vocals were flawless though.

Just listened to the latest Beast Sessions. It was ok, but I didn't love it. Like someone else said, she went way too agressive with it at the end. It was ok though.

This cover was alright... Prefer the first one although I still don't like some of the facial expressions and movements she makes, It seems like she's trying to look 'cool' and its a little bit cringey.

It was ok, but the song does not suit her voice. I'd have preferred Resentment tbh. It would've suited her better. Sam can sing but she's a big voiced singer and as of the current moment, he's yet to really got for it vocally. His songs are written for his vocal range.

Her voice has lightened considerably in the last few years, and doesn't sound as earthy as it used to. Also, the camera and sound quality seemed very different to the first video. I don't think she was too aggressive at the end vocally, but definitely in her actions.

I enjoyed that rendition. Loved her tone & depth at the start & then the umph she gave it at the end. That was influenced by the adrenaline of live acoustics ... Like she was vibing with the moment.

Looking forward to the next one!

Alex talked about opening her £500 bottle of wine with her manager when she finishes her album but the question is who is her manager?

Zack06, you usually know these things first. Any idea who shes now with?

When she left KWL I don't think she signed to another company.

Instead it looks like she's appointed Gary as her main manager for the time being. He still seems to be tweeting about her so he's definitely still involved.

Gary has been her manager since July which ties in with when she left KWL, but he was originally her tour manager.

If she has a new management company I can't find any information on it yet.

Does anyone think that she recorded the covers in her home studio? Watching the most recent one back, she's got her ANL Tour dates plaque lain against the wall.
