I'm currently in Spain and Elephant is simply not there.

BB, SWY, ANL, TS, LIG are there (plus the Rihanna, Janet and Christina Perri covers) but nothing else. Odd.

Does the link work for you? Maybe her VEVO just deleted it from her page outside of the UK. I don't know. Her online stuff has always been a mess from day one. Especially VEVO.

Leona has been mentoring Sam Bailey this week as she is singing her song. Surely Alex will be mentoring whoever is singing her song this week?

I presume so, she's in Dubai at the moment, apparently she'll be back on Wednesday but then she's flying back to America this week as well, so I don't know if she will have time to do it.

I'm sure she could fit it in if someone is singing her song, it would be quite a glaring omission if she didn't show up.

No. Which upsets me as I've heard it on the radio here before, and I recently met a stan of hers too!!! Was well surprised here! I just got 'not available in your country' BS again lol.

She may have even filmed a VT about it already? She isn't meant to mention it, and in her case it would be better if she didn't (SURPRISE! lol).

I do hope they sing TS, BB, Elephant or ANL. Not Hallelujah, that would be horrific. Like seriously. Any of the others tbh as they will not do her justice is any way. She's got a voice like Brandy or Toni Braxton, it's very very specific, but not ''inflected'' like Aretha/Rebecca F, so it may seem easy to cover, but in fact it's rather difficult in practice. I tried myself! Her tone is lush.

I hope Alex mentors Hannah or Tamera but I would much prefer Hannah.

If she mentors Rough copy that would be cool too but maybe Jls might mentor them.

I think it would be bad form if Alexandra wasn't involved in the tenth anniversary. She's arguably, along with Leona, the most high-profile, well-remembered winner of the show.

Alexandra at the Inspiration Awards....incredible vocals, especially that belt during Try after 3:40.

amazing, one thing for me though.. I know she likes to get in to the spirit of the song etc but I always cringe a bit when she starts with all the deep breaths and sighs of sadness and tilting her head back as though she's about to cry (all at the start of the video). It's nice that she shows emotion but i always cringe

Having said that the vocals are absolutely incredible.

I guess it adds to the drama of the performance...but those belts in Try. I love that random woman screaming when she hits the notes.

lool yeah, her vocals amazing there. & I guess it does but I find it cringey and a little bit false. I mean she's sang Hallelujah like 100000 times surely she can't get emotional every time.. I mean she didn't even like the song in the first place. I just think she could tone that down a bit.

I got this feeling and I'm sure we'll get a remastered version of Try on the 3rd album!!!

I do think Try is a very good ballad to be honest so I wouldn't mind if that did happen.

I see your point, but with a sitting performance like that, as long as the vocals are on point, it doesn't matter too much.

It's when she shouts "hey" every 5 minutes during uptempo songs that gets on my nerves. She never used to do that, but did it all through the HOH performances. I found it so annoying and cringe. Plus it didn't help that the choreography was bad as well.

lmao The Voice Ireland performance.. That Hey was very annoying so yes I see your point i'd rather the cringey emotion and good vocals than "hey" and crap choreo.

Exactly I think The Voice of Ireland performance was her worst ever. She looked tired and depressed because of the split, she only had 3 dancers on a massive stage, her outfit was unflattering and her vocals were not great at all, plus the backing vocals were really quiet so her voice sounded exposed and strained.

The only other comparable "bad" performance was when she was really sick during that random Polish award show and she mimed to the CD version of All Night Long. When she sang Bad Boys live at that event she sounded really bad.

I am the same as you, but the vocals were amazing.

I am still not keen on Try, but she sung it beautifully.
