Ruth Langsford tweeted 'sounding good girl #hallelujah' so it looks like she performed that?

Yes she did perform last night. But I do agree I doubt it's just that.

'Celebrity pal Eliza Doolittle'? Wasn't it her that slagged Alex off on twitter along with Example?

I had a look through Alexandra Burke US to see what Alexandra has done in 2013 then went to 2012.

2013 is busy, considering it had no album or single release. 2012 was insane. 2013 has a lot of "attending events" and getting her face out their, because we know she's spent most of 2013 recording. The end of 2012 features ALOT of holidays, lol.

Looking at that 2012 list, RCA really pulled out all the stops for Elephant promo (radio tour, radio1, This Morning, Daybreak, Comic Relief, Lorraine, Celebrity Juice, Loose Women etc) then completely dropped the ball and didn't bother for Let It Go or the album. Weird.

Anyway, I'm too excited to see what happens tonight.

Yeah Elephant was promoted a lot more and then Let It Go is where it all went down hill. And the fact she did NO promotion the week before and the actual week of the album release. They'd probs spent all her budget by then.

I never learn! Everyone on there is so spiteful, if only the took time to get to know who Alex was rather than judging her based on her judging on XF .

It just shows what kind of people are on that site. Most of the normal GP won't even recall her ever judging on the XF. Most people have more important things to worry about in life.

Very true! They hold onto things because they aren't happy unless they have something negative o every celebrity, its pathetic. I'll honestly never understand the backlash from her judging, I thought she was honest which puts her above most of the other judges .

She was perfectly fine. The only thing I didn't like was the "ok.com" but other than that she was fine. I think that's where it all stems from though.

I've seen a few people here say they preferred the original All Night Long from Overcome, I never agreed until today when I listened to the original for the first time in like 3 years.. It is so much better, the last 50 seconds are perfect.

I thought the "OK.COM" was quite funny tbh, there is no way she would've gotten a backlash for saying that on a US show. Just look at Tamar Braxton, she has made a brand for herself based on adding ".COM" to everything and generally acting over the top.
I've said it once and I'll say it again, The UK as a whole simply doesn't like confident black women on TV, sad but true.

The original album version s*its all over the single version imo.
I've always loved the line "Its only you and me together, and this feelings so strong...", I don't know why but it always makes me feel good .

Yeah it wasn't too bad.. I didn't think anything of it until everyone started slating her for it. People are just too picky, especially because as you said, she's a confident black woman.

It worked great for promo reasons, but I prefer without him as well.

I also really think the Overcome singles should have been -

1. Bad Boys
2. The Silence
3. All Night Long
4. Start Without You (With original video)

**re-release**
5. Perfect

That would've been so "perfect" .

I agree. I think the ballad should have come earlier than it did. A lot of her XF fans got fed up waiting for the ballad to come. Don't know why they left it until three years after she won.

I think The Silence had to come earlier because it would've reminded the public about her vocals which were ignored during songs like Broken Heels. I really always hated that song, I would've preferred if it was replaced by a ballad on the album too.

I actually quite like Broken Heels but I think it was a bit out of place as a single. It didn't really work very well. I also think It's Over should have been an album track not just a bonus. It should have been instead of Bury Me imo. I hate that song. I'll also admit I have probably only listened to You Broke My Heart once.

I'm surprised that you don't like those songs tbh, Bury Me and You Broke My Heart are two of my favourites on the album, especially You Broke My Heart. I just think the whole female empowerment them of BH is so overplayed and boring. The only song I barely listen to though is "Gotta Go", its beyond boring.

I think lots of past contestants are going to XF tonight. Including Chico. So I think there is some sort of 'reunion' - Alex will be there hopefully.
