Yeah. I really want her to have one. REALLY BADDDD.

She will shat on all of these newbies. Sorry, they all deserve their chance...

I remember when she came on for the Silence and with that one belt BOOM. She took them ALL out.

I know. But it depends if she has it or not

She seems way to confident to not have it. She's determined and she seems really happy with the album so far which is great because it reassures us all too.

She should bag a few collabs with popular artist on their albums imo

Pitbull, Flo Rida and Ne-Yo are all recording their albums.
I want Alex to be one of those top notch pop girls, but not the cheesy pop but mature/urban pop
Something that could smash mainstream but isn't massively generic

That thought entered my head too. She's weirdly confident. But I prefer that. Keep it to herself and get it done. I like how she's a lot calmer too.

She needs to stay away from all 3 of them if she wants to be taken seriously. Pitbull ruined ANL and Ne-Yo needs to figure out what music he wants to make. Flo-Rida has little to no respect from bigwigs in the industry. She doesn't want to be a laughing stock again.

I wouldn't mind if Alex featured on a Ne-Yo song, if it was the right song that is.

They sounded good on GNGM.

True. But Ne-Yo isn't really charting well, nor is he doing well on radio. That's what I meant by (US wise) knowing what he wants to do. He keeps switching.

I really hope alex gets a x factor slot, even if she ain't got new material.

perform medley or try.

I really like Try now. I wouldn't mind if she performed that on the X Factor. It could remind everyone that she has the VOICE.

I think Alex would do well to grab a feature on a Flo-Rida/Pitbull track. They have huge fanbases and club presence, just look what it did for Ke$ha and Sia's careers....Alex could really benefit from it.

I have so much love for Try, it's now overtaken BTS on iTunes plays.
I want to see her perform that live, it would be flawless.

She needs to work with Spark (She wrote Try) I want another song like Try for the third album, if not put Try on album 3.

The whole song? Or did Alex co-write it?

I heard this song tonight, from some person, but I would love a song like this from Alex, give it the Alex touch.

I find it hard listening to Try. It's not recorded well at all cause she sounds like she has a lisp. Very off putting cause she doesn't have a lisp.

Because collabing with them made Afrojack, Sia, Chris Brown and David Guetta a laughing stock?

....Not getting my hopes up. Getting that out of my head before I get expectations.

Sia already had respect Alex did not and her records had acclaim before she worked with them - due to her writing skills it opened doors for her, Chris is hated, David does not have major respect in the way that Beyonce/Adele etc does and Afrojack is a producer and DJ, not a singer. Alex does not have respect, that's my point. It would give her success but not respect.

Sia did not have respect at all, that is totally wrong. When she released her first album nobody wanted to know her and the media ignored her. That's why, now that she has success, she does hardly any interviews or press events because the media just didn't respect her the first time round.

It's only now that she's written various hits and had some big songs of her own that she is respected as an artist. I agree with Tim, collabing with some DJs and rappers on hooks would not hurt Alex at all...

It's how Nicki, Ke$ha, Keri Hilson etc all got their starts and how they started to build a fanbase. I don't think it's right to get snobby about it because it's a very good way of getting people to know about Alex. Once she has the attention, then she can focus properly on her own artistry. First she needs to build a fanbase, whether that be through features, songwriting, a TV show...whatever. She just needs to make that first step of being introduced into the market. She has to walk before she can run.

The difference is, all those women are songwriters. They made money doing it all, regardless of whether the song flopped. Alex would not, as she doesn't write. They were proper businesswomen and got a cheque. There's a difference. That's why Nicki is so rich, she writes a verse, be it crap or not and makes money.

She can collab, but make it the right sort of people or she's going nowhere. Kendrick etc. If she collabs with the wrong people she's shooting herself in the foot, remember what Wretch said before?

She did not have proper respect from the right quarters, and that was due to her music. It was not her fault, but now she has more control. Working with those who make GOOD music is better than working with a thousand who make bad music. She may get an audience but she will get no respect, which she lacks on all fronts.

Notice how she didn't get many outright, if any, offer for collabs with serious people during Overcome, despite her success? That was a warning. Not a good look.
