About John's beatboxing, he's quite good at it, I'm impressed, he even does that thing where he beatboxes but adds a second sound to the mix with his nose (lol I don't know how to describe it better)
Clearly he's been learning and practicing, and with the guitar, he said he is using plugins, plus piano, ukulele and DJing... I know they are quick learners, but now I'm fairly impressed with how much they can learn in a short among of time Don't know what instrument Edward is practicing, maybe violin lol~ JK :P actually Edward may have taken the more artistic role of them two ![]() think u are right about the time issue, flyingcamel. just think they are in panto at that time and you need to promote it(plus there should've been a single out) before the album comes out... so... But it's interesting that E finally give out a time. I love that they add new covers for different tour. In a way it shows where their mind & hearts are now musically, like “Fix You" and "Chasing Cars", they are probably drawing inspiration from rock and post-britpop songs for their writing |

http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/leisure/m...dward/?ref=twt In this article they say: Quote:
After they play Ferneham hall in Fareham on Sunday, John and Edward are continuing their UK tour, then filming a new series of Jedward’s Big Adventure before heading off to Australia.
They then plan to get back into the studio to record their fourth album which has all the songs penned by the boys themselves. |

What's so interesting about this clip is how Pat and Spyder put the music to the lyrics... it results in an excellent song that captures the emotion of the theme so completely.

Is this a cryptic commentary on how you think the new album will sound?

Seems the Selsey concert went better than expected. An audience of 2000 people and they had to close the doors because more were waiting outside, the Bunn crew said it was the busiest gig they had seen there.
Why it was so successful? because the part of the audience that weren't fans (people who were holidaying there) tweeted afterwards things like these: @planetjedward were so good! They genuinely have amazing voices thanks for grabbing my hands xox Omg @planetjedward was so so good tonight ahhahaha Jedward are actually so good live haha my boyfriend secretly enjoyed @planetjedward's concert tonight and so on sigh, if people gave them a chance... |

Sounds intriguing. A self penned album is going to be a radical departure for them, as we've never even heard a single one of their compositions, never mind an entire album. It certainly will be fascinating to hear what their own sound is like.
This new album is going to be their break-through with all the recognition from the entertainment-industry and audiences or this is their farewell. I admire their courage, but hey I guess they made enough money to be financially independent for the future if it won't work out. But I hope they are going to surprise the world. |

And to produce a slick vid, then have the label not send it to the stations, is just a waste of time and money. My impression is that J&E have learned from these mistakes and will not let it happen again. If they truly do want an international hit... then they are going to have to assemble a strong team w/ a savvy marketing strategy. |

I think from all the X-factor acts Jedward may turn to be the only act who will become legit entrepeneurs whether it will be in entertainment or other fields. This is their way of getting their masters in business management. |

They are working on it, it is my belief that they keep 90-95% of their current business activities or developments secret from all of us.
About the album, I guess that when they've finished writing songs, they'll search people in the music business to give them feedback. They keep contact with some of their previous song-writers so they may help them in that case. A self-penned album is risky, but I'm sure they won't do it without any kind of support. |

Tbh, I was surprised by the Australian tour announcement... and especially the size of the venues chosen.
I would have thought they would have released new work, see if it is successful, then plan a tour off the back of the new album. I hope the Australian tour works out for them. It seems a bit premature to me. But who knows? ... it might be a raging success.

Next to the pre-teens and teen-girls Jedward also seem to have a rather large gay-fanbase in Australia which doesn't seem to be the case in Europe.
This may be an advantage since they obviously have more money to spend than kids. Pre-teens and Teens are not financially independent, so the 20-30 crowd, gay & straight, looks like the target... with a few over-30's. It will be interesting to see how it turns out. |

Asking Australian fans they said they were totally normal ticket prices over there, but I agree it's not affordable for teens. I think the gay fanbase may be the people who know them thanks to Eurovision, which is very popular in Australia.

Personally, I think they have been a bit optimistic about the entire endeavour... Australia is huge with a population of only 23 M. So that means travel expenses between shows and a challenge re ticket sales. It might have been wiser to do one show in Sydney (pop. 4,5 M) at a mid-sized venue. I'm sure the Jed Aus. fans would have travelled to Sydney for it. I did hear that they were not taking the dancers... so that will help w/ costs. But still... Nevertheless, I hope it works.

The price of the tickets surprised me, too. It would be a steep climb for a family of 4 to pay those prices... so I am assuming J&E are targeting a different demographic completely.

I think they're going for the Irish ex-pats as well. I believe one of the gigs is in St Kilda in Melbourne which is a very popular area for the Irish.

I've researched this recent ex-pat thingy... it seems to be most have gotten jobs in the mines, etc. ... sorry, this simply does not seem to be a demographic that would go to a Jedward gig.
