Well plenty of twentysomething women have emigrated as well as entire families....it may be teenage children of the latter they're after.
Definitely. That'll do it.

They are working on it,
Are they? I'm not so sure. If they continue to rely on amateur fan-generated promo... then they will go nowhere fast.

Imo, the fan promo has done them more harm than good. It has simply exposed the fact that J&E have no label and no manager.

I love all of the 'they are playing it so close to the chest' shit... but, actually, we've been singing this song for over a year now... seriously? ... it's time to wake up... either they make a big announcement soon (before Panto... jeez.... ****ing Dublin Panto. for Christ's sake) or we can officially declare the ride over. Sorry... but this stupid-ass slow-bleed is simply ridiculous.

Call me a bad fan... but I just don't believe in moonbeams...

I think they're going for the Irish ex-pats as well. I believe one of the gigs is in St Kilda in Melbourne which is a very popular area for the Irish.
I'm wondering about the logistics of their Australian tour. I can't help wonder if they'd be better off playing smaller venues that will be full and create better atmosphere, rather than booking the large concert halls. And I'm still puzzled why they're doing a show in Perth rather than Brisbane (a much larger population!).

But then maybe they aren't doing this as a money-making venture. Maybe they're just doing it because they want to play some concerts in Australia, so that's what they're going to do!

Yeah I don't understand the Australian tour idea either tbh. Singapore would
have made much more sense to me, or lots of smaller dates across Australia

Having had a quick look at the map, Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane are all on the Eastern side of the (vast) country, whereas Perth is on the West coast. So maybe that's why.

A lot of Singaporeans seem to have the intention to attend the Australian concerts, so it's going to be an international affair again.

Australia has always been a favorite holiday destination for South-East Asians (Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore) and favorite country to attend university.

do they need a huge career /do they want a huge career? Maybe they are happy with that what they have. Many singer/groups get never a record deal and have never huge succees but this does not stop them to give concerts/make gigs/make music and even when this singer/groups have not a huge career they earn enough money that they can have a normal life out of it(earn enough money to pay their bills)

+ many singer/groups make music for many years (some even more than 10-20 years) before they become well known and have a hit. J&E are only 21 years old , they have plenty of time + they can also work in other parts of showbusiness(TV...)

J&E are in a financial situation where they don´t need to panic.

Australia: maybe they don´t do it for money, maybe they do it only because they want to keep their promise that they make a worldtour(Ireland/UK/Australia..) or they do it only because they want to do it because that makes them happy , even when they would not earn there anything. They are in a financial situation where they could even afford to loose a little bit of money(+they will not have dancers there+they have no live band and they have not many things to take with them(no big equipment&no big stage show)

No matter what will happen and if they will have a record deal&a new album& if they will have a huge hit&if they will become international superstars this all does not change that they are who they are: 2 amazing young men , who make their fans smile &happy(they can nevertheless make music even when a huge carreer will not be there)

It is not important what we hope for them and what we want to have for them (huge career) , it is only important that J&E are happy with the things which they do.

If someone wants to be a fan of a huge superstar so there are already a lot of singers / groups to select from

I’m a bit worried about the Aus tour. On one hand I’m thrilled as I will get to see them perform live for the first time.

However, today I was in the area where the Perth concert is taking place so I popped around to the Regal Theatre. There were lots of posters and leaflets advertising future acts on the theatre walls, inside and out, but no sign of a Jedward poster anywhere.

So, I went inside to ask why there were no posters and why they weren’t advertising/promoting the Jedward concert. The girl at the ticket booth had no idea who I was talking about and she couldn’t even bring the event up on her computer. Maybe it’s just her incompetence, but not a good sign.

(I bought my tickets online ages ago when it was announced.)

There are posters advertising shows for the middle of next year, so it’s not like it's too soon.

Anyway, I thought, is there someone on here who can somehow contact the twins or Momma Jedward? Maybe via Jedward Genius? Jedward management need to do something. Maybe send/organise posters and leaflets etc. The theatre is on the corner of a busy precinct, so very visible to passers-by. They could do with the advertising.

Oh no, that's really not good

I think you would be justified in using their business email address to tell them about it.

Jedgen follows me, so I'll send her a DM pointing her to your post - she may decide it's something they should know about.

Ah well done. Thanks for that Dechecho. Next time I'm out that way, I'll go back to the theatre and check that the posters are up. Cheers!

It's just a shame that the fans seem to be having to do the promoter's job for him

Here's a brief but nice review of the Fareham concert:

UK tour was brilliant. I had a fantastic time and all the venues were buzzing. It really was a great atmosphere at every venue. Obviously some places worked better than others and I'm sure (Hope) MJ has learnt some lessons for next time but overall the whole thing was wonderful.

Interesting news from Twitter. Twins will appear on RTE's The Saturday Night show, they'll be talking about panto and they'll plerform live "Hey there Delilah" with John playing guitar:

On the Sat Night Show this week: "Jedward will be giving their first acoustic live performance." Hey There Deliah by Plain White T’s.

More on the Jeds on the @RTESatnightshow. John WILL be playing guitar. And panto plans will be revealed.

That sounds great. Doing a live acoustic set during their last few shows must have helped with their confidence.

Their confidence has improved considerably in the last 12-18 months, performing ballads like Young Love live on TV and this is a further step.

I guess this is what they're gonna talk about in the Saturday Night show: https://twitter.com/olympiatheatre/s...71767928586240 but I'm happy they'll let them sing and not just talk about the panto.

That's very exciting! As well as showing everyone else what the Jeds are capable of, it will give us a good quality recording of an acoustic performance. Yay!
