The reason the introduction of physical violence to a Jedward gig so horrified me is precisely because it is so against everything John and Edward stand for. I cannot believe anyone would suggest they are condoning it, those boys are all about loveliness and happiness and fun. Whilst a one off violent attack does not constitute 'bullying' it is obviously abhorrent and unacceptable behaviour at a concert (or elsewhere).
The 'superfan' in question has deleted her 'apology' and has blocked or unfollowed several fans who have called her out on the issue (including myself) and is carrying on as if it didn't happen, but in my opinion she is entitled to do that and to do promotion if she wishes . Obviously fans who are very upset by what happened are also entitled to avoid this woman, which is my preferred approach. I would suggest that only the girl who was punched in the face has the prerogative to dispense or deny forgiveness as it doesn't directly concern the rest of the fandom as such.Though obviously given the attacker's acknowledgment that she has a temper problem it may be wise to alert the stewards to keep an eye on her should she attend future concerts to ensure everyone can feel safe and not at risk should she get angry again.
We need to be really clear that this is absolutely NOT something that has happened before at a Jedward event and will hopefully never happen again. I would hate anyone to feel reluctant to attend what are in my experience the best gigs of my life because they fear being hit. Jedward gigs are seriously the most fun it is possible to have in 2 hours on this planet and anyone who was lucky enough to attend the recent UK tour or who has viewed some of the video footage of those concerts will know that (bar this one horrid incident) everyone leaves the theatre smiling and upbeat and happy, and also usually rather exhausted because its impossible not to rock out and dance your socks off!
