...hmm - that is definitely an interesting read! My OH has an iPhone 4 so I may actually keep her phone on iOS 6 instead on 7 as it sounds like 7 may make her phone quite laggy!

As for my iPhone 5 - I really am in 2 minds whether or not to wait until there is an update to iOS7 before updating! I actually like how iOS6 looks and feels but then again, iOS 7 does have new features thrown in as well!!

Decisions decisions....!!!!!!

Oh well, that's me out of the loop unless I buy a new one or switch my Android phone for an iPhone. I don't plan to buy a new iPod until my current one snuffs it.

I'm a bit worried that iOS will have a lot of bugs that will annoy me whereas iOS 6 feels fast, smooth and flows well for me. I'm worried that because I have an iPhone 5 it will be slow because I don't have the new hardware like the 5S

having used it for a few months, i haven't found a single bug. the later releases, including the GM, have been as fast and as smooth as iOS 6 as well so you've got nothing to worry about

iPhone 5C is starting with iOS 7 and is the same phone except for 3 minor changes new LTE Radio and slightly bigger battery and plastic out shell. So there should be no problem what so ever. Only thing you won't benefit from is the 64Bit part. I doubt that will be major though until iPhone 6 comes out so you should be fine.

I am doing a 4:45-9:30 shift at work today so by the time I come home it should have been released. That and the fact that I do not have wifi at home means that I shall have to wait to be able to download it. However on the bright side this does mean I can read all of your reviews to see whether to update or not.

It won't affect your iPhone 5. I have been running it now for nearly 2 weeks and it's great. There are no bugs and it runs really smoothly. The battery lasts longer also.

How big do you think the iOS 7 file is? And how long so you estimate it to take to download and install properly?

Have either of you used it on the iPad 4 curious to see if it is as fluid on there as well.

It took me 15 minutes to install the GM version.

That's great news. I use the phone a lot and while I understand that the battery life will decrease over time it's really helpful that this update should extend it slightly!

I apologise for being uneducated but what does "GM" stand for?
