There are to be no changes to the Strictly Come Dancing judging panel for the upcoming series.

Len Goodman, Craig Revel Horwood, Bruno Tonioli and Darcey Bussell will all return for the new series of the pro-celebrity dancing competition, which begins next Wednesday.

Darcey told The Sun "I'm super excited to be back in my judging seat, I've missed it and I can't wait to see how all the new celebrities will fare on the dancefloor!"

During an appearance on This Morning, Craig teased that there are a few "big names" signed up to the new series, saying "there's a few celebrities that you certainly wouldn't expect to be doing the show. Is that a good thing? We'll wait and find out."

The Daily Mail have today reported that Rick Astley has signed up for the new series of Strictly Come Dancing.

The "Never Gonna Give You Up" singer is said to have signed on the dotted line in a hope to re-ignite his pop career, and thinks Strictly is the way to do that. He is also known for hosting a variety of radio shows, including BBC Radio 2.

Astley tweeted that he had "something exciting coming up" a few weeks ago. Could it be Strictly?

Comedy duo Mel and Sue, compiled of Mel Giedroyc, 45, and Sue Perkins, 43, are the latest names rumoured to be taking part in the upcoming series of Strictly Come Dancing, which begins next Thursday.

The pair, known for presenting BAFTA-award winning cookery series The Great British Bake Off, are apparently in talks to appear in the new series together.

Giedroyc has said previously "I'd love to take part in Strictly, who wouldn't? It would be fantastic, but it would be even better if Sue went on as well, it would be a real competition. I reckon I'd be the better dancer."

The latest name to be linked to celebrity dance competition Strictly Come Dancing is British pop sensation Natasha Bedingfield.

Natasha, 31, is said to have agreed a deal with show bosses in a hope to raise her profile here in the UK, after targeting the US market.

The pop princess will be hoping to reach the standard of series one champion Faye Tozer, a member of pop band Steps.

Other names rumoured to be taking part in the show include This Morning chef Gina D'Acampo, who will be hoping to serve up a treat on the dancefloor, comedy duo Mel and Sue and 80s pop star Rick Astley.

The BBC confirmed early this morning that Strictly Come Dancing veteran Bruce Forsyth will not be returning to present the celebrity dance contest, citing retirement as his reason.

This announcement comes after rumours he was to return to his presenting spot after quitting before series one began.

When quitting, he said "Strictly has been a massive part of my life for the last ten years. It will be hard to let it go, but I have to focus on my retirement and family life."

It is expected Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman, who took over from Forsyth last series, will resume their roles as presenters.

Retired snooker player Ronnie O'Sullivan is the latest name linked to Strictly Come Dancing.

It is thought that the World Snooker Champion signed up for the celebrity dance competition in an effort to step outside his comfort zone. The new series begins with a launch show, to be aired next Thursday.

Other names rumoured to be taking part include pop star Natasha Bedingfield and Citizen Smith and My Family actor Robert Lindsay.

The BBC have revealed the fourteen professional dancers who will partner a celebrity in the hope of lifting the glitterball trophy. The professionals taking part are:

Artem Chigvintsev
Brendan Cole
James Jordan
Pasha Kovalev
Vincent Simone
Ian Waite
Robin Windsor

Erin Boag
Flavia Cacace
Ola Jordan
Natalie Lowe
Iveta Lukosiute
Kristina Rhianoff
Katya Virshilas

Strictly veteran Anton Du Beke has decided to leave Strictly, after appearing since the beginning of the series in 2004, whilst 2011 winner Aliona Vilani has also quit. Ian Waite, the tallest professional, has been asked to return, alongside Iveta Lukosiute, who stepped in to partner Tim Henman last series, after Aliona was injured.

The celebrities rumoured to be taking part include snooker legend Ronnie O'Sullivan and comedy double act Mel and Sue.

Meanwhile, This Morning chef Gino D'Acampo confirmed on Twitter, in response to a fan, that he would not be taking part, despite being one of the early rumours.

Television presenter Julia Bradbury and EastEnders actor David Witts are the latest names to be linked to the upcoming series of Strictly Come Dancing.

Bradbury, 43, who is most famous for presenting Countryfile, is said to have signed up to the celebrity dance competition to try and "take off the wellies" and get "glammed up". If she does appear, she will follow in her Countryfile co-host Matt Baker's steps, who came second place in 2010.

Witts, 22, who plays Joey Branning in EastEnders apparently agreed a deal with show bosses so that viewers can see what he is like outside of his soap persona.

The new series begins with a launch show this Thursday, following the full celebrity line up reveal on Wednesday.

With just three days to go until the full Strictly Come Dancing line up is revealed, The Sun has today discussed all of the celebrities rumoured to be taking part.

Snooker player Ronnie O'Sullivan, pop star Natasha Bedingfield and musician and radio DJ Rick Astley have all been heavily rumoured so far.

Other rumours include comedy double act Mel and Sue, actor Robert Lindsay and Julia Bradbury.

Meanwhile, new reports today suggest that ABBA's Frida Lyngstad, particle physicist Brian Cox and television presenter Jennie Bond are also due to take to the dancefloor.

The BBC announced that they will confirm one celebrity who will be taking part tonight, as well as one on Monday and on Tuesday, before the full reveal on Wednesday. The new series begins with a launch show, which will be aired this Thursday.

The first celebrity confirmed to be taking part in this year's Strictly Come Dancing is...

RICK ASTLEY

The singer, 47, is known for his hugely successful 1987 hit, Never Gonna Give You Up, which is now widely used as part of the internet meme, "Rickrolling". Astley now presents various radio shows.

Rick told Daily Mail after he was confirmed for Strictly Come Dancing, "I'm really looking forward to learning a new skill, which I've not been able to do in ages. I just can't wait for it all to begin!"

The BBC has announced some of the format changes taking place in this year's Strictly Come Dancing.

They include cutting companion show Behind The Ballroom to just one show per week, on a Wednesday, whilst training updates, song choices and other statistics will be posted on the official website in the lead up to the Saturday.

Another change is the axing of the Group Challenge, which appeared last series. However, the Swing A Thon will return.

The BBC also confirmed that the dance off will not return, and that the current method of a straight elimination out of the bottom two will be back.

Last night, 80s pop sensation Rick Astley was confirmed to be taking part in the series. The second celebrity taking part will be confirmed at 17.00.

The second celebrity who will be taking to the Strictly dancefloor is...

PEACHES GELDOF

Geldof, 24, is a model, but is also known for her television work and is also known as singer Bob Geldof and the late Paula Yates' daughter.

She told The Sun after the confirmation, "I'm really excited to get fit again. After having Phaedra, I've put on a bit of weight so I want to get back into shape. I also want to show the public that there's more to me than just being a model, and above all I just want to make my Mum proud."

The latest name reported to have signed up for the upcoming series of Strictly Come Dancing has been released... and it is Lisa Kudrow.

The 50 year old American actress, well known for playing Phoebe Buffay in hugely successful American sitcom Friends, is said to have signed up for the series in an effort to show the British public what she is like outside of her Friends persona. She also agreed a deal with bosses after apparently being asked for three years running.

The actress is arguably the biggest name (and is said to be the highest paid) taking part in the series, joining the likes of Rick Astley and Peaches Geldof, who have already been confirmed, as well as the heavily rumoured Natasha Bedingfield and Ronnie O'Sullivan.
