EE just sent this out and I'm seeing an interesting theory about Shirley being locked in the boot of the car that Dexter and Jay were working on for Carl, the one that Ronnie had sent away and put in a lock up. What do you think?

I thought that car arrived after SHirley went missing?

It would be like Yvonne Atkins from Bad Girls.

They'll retrieve the car in three months and find her smelly rotten corpse.

She was kept alive on a diet of spare tyre and jack

But it was Carl who brought it in? I'm not saying this is what I think, It's a pretty good stab in the dark though.

Haha that would be fitting! East Enders haven't got the minerals to show a rotting corpse at the moment though, couldn't even show Ian getting his band burnt!

They couldn't show a rotting corpse pre-watershed? Maybe if they only show the body from behind and not in graphic detail.

No, we haven't seen Shirley and we are not interested in the psychos on this board.

That would be quite a shocking but memorable exit if it was her dead in the boot of the car. I don't know, Eastenders aren't usually brave at killing main characters off

Brave? Very strange interpretation. I would call it cowardly, killing off an established character just for the thrill of it.

I must say I like not being in on, usually we know everything about the characters...unless it's a whoddunit.

Yes brave because Shirley has been in the show for 7 years now and to kill off a major full time regular is quite a decision compared to a character who has only been in the show a year

Really?

This IS the soap board? You know, the soaps, where everyone is a psycho?

I think the closest thing Eastenders got to this kind of thing was when Ben found that woman's body in the shed and there were flies everywhere.

Thats the best reason for surprise grisly exits. It keeps the audience on their toes.

Otherwise you have got the usual soap predictabiliity.

There always has to be one to spoil the fun.

Is there anything you do like? Just out of interest?

It wasn't Ben, it was Abi and Jordan.

My mistake. Ben and dead bodies just seemed like a right fit.
