Has it been confirmed that he is leaving, or is he going to somehow escape alive?

Really annoyed about this, why is he leaving so quickly.

I love how he winds up Max and Phil, who I loathe, two bald overrated twits
..and Max might be staying for another ten years wth?? he is so repetitive with his babe crap and macho postering, the producers really are annoying with their stupid decisions.

I hope he is not leaving so soon, he is a good character with potential..I'm sick of Max and his miserable family..he needs to go. How any more stories and women can he go through??

When Ronnie wanted Phil to kill someone a few years ago, Phil told her he wasn't a killer. Gone back on his word.

It hasn't actually bee confirmed that he's being killed off, has it?

I think they PLAN to kill him. Maybe scare him out of Walford for a while. But I don't think he's leaving/being killed off just yet.

Yes, for whatever reason the writers are hell-bent on making him the undisputed King of the Square. Logic has no place here.

The article sounds conclusive "There is no returning back to Walford for Carl as he is buried in a shallow graveby the two hard-men".

Isn't Ian there too? I know he's not properly involved, but any one of them can have a guilty conscience and dig him up later. It's happened before.

If he dies, fair enough. I don't think he will, for some reason, though.

IMO it'll be a waste of a character anyway, in the show for hardly a year before getting bumped off.

Also LOL @ their use of hard-men. Phil, to an extent maybe (certainly in his prime) but Max?

They wont kill him, there's no way they would turn the shows 3 leading males into murderers. Ian and Phil have been around forever and all 3 are likely to say on the show for many more years. The writers know that if they made them killers they would have a shelf life.

Much as I dislike Carl as a character, I have a feeling this isn't his exit just yet.

They won't kill him. I doubt they will make Phil, Ian and Max all killers. It'll be a scare tactic to send him packing. He'll be back in about 3 months for revenge I suspect.
