I like the way that EastEnders is now choosing a character and taking them in a completely different direction to what you'd expect. I think that really works. Does anyone agree?

For example we have Max Branning. Up until now he's had women related storylines like the affair with Stacey, having an affair with Tanya behind Vanessa's back, switching back and forth between Tanya and Kirsty until Tanya left. Now he's in prison for a crime he didn't commit.

Then there's Sam whom you would expect to be a villain but instead

iv heard rumours that Sam only came back because he knew he was ill!

Also 20 years is a long time, he must have a secret other family!
